The Commercial Manager at Paradox Interactive will be responsible for optimizing the commercial performance of all Paradox game titles throughout their lifecycles. This involves identifying and executing on commercial opportunities across the product portfolio and various markets. Data-driven decision-making is crucial, requiring the development of models and forecasts to support strategic choices. Close collaboration with game development teams is essential for successful implementation of commercial initiatives. Regular pricing analysis and market monitoring will be a key responsibility to optimize product pricing and remain competitive. Staying abreast of industry trends is critical for informed recommendations. The role demands strong analytical skills, proficiency with large datasets and Excel, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • 2+ years experience in analysis/management
  • Strong analytical & modeling skills
  • Big data experience
  • Business case development
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Games industry interest
Good to have:
  • Database/SQL experience
  • Tableau or BI tool experience

The Commercial Manager’s mission is to work towards a state where every Paradox title is commercially optimized at every point of its lifecycle. The main task is to identify and execute on commercial opportunities across the product portfolio and markets, while ensuring data-driven practices and processes in the organization.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with game teams to execute on commercial initiatives and ensure their successful implementation. You will also be responsible for conducting regular pricing analysis and monitoring market dynamics to optimize product pricing. Staying up to date with industry trends and the competitive landscape will be essential to provide informed recommendations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, or other relevant fields

  • 2+ years experience of working as an Analyst, Commercial/Pricing Manager, Risk Management or similar

  • Strong analytical skills, with the capacity to develop models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making

  • Experience from working with big data sets

  • Ability to build business cases

  • An interest in the games industry

  • Advanced skills from working in Excel or similar tool

Additional qualifications that will be valued
  • Experience from working with databases/SQL and Tableau or another BI tool

On a personal level, you should thrive in a fast-paced environment being able to shift focus from long-term strategy to operational problem-solving and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
