As a Customer Project Coordinator, you will support US-based customers and collaborate with global manufacturing teams. Your responsibilities include managing customer relationships, coordinating projects, managing manufacturing orders, facilitating technical communication, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and identifying areas for improvement. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction and process optimization. In your role as Customer Project Coordinator, Manufacturing, you will support our US-based customers across multiple industries, and work with manufacturing teams in various global regions. Your agility, service mentality, and technical and communication skills will be essential in helping our customers increase the velocity and quality of their delivered products. You will support program management teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to address customer needs, resolve issues, and facilitate solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow through hands-on experience and professional development.

Work Hours9am-5pm US Pacific Time (Mon-Fri). There is a requirement to work from the office for the initial 3 months which would be the training phase before moving to a hybrid schedule (2 days home/3 days in office).

You will report to the Lead of Program Management.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Customer Management: At Fictiv, you will be our customers’ best ally. Work closely with them to ensure a seamless and high-quality experience. 
  • Project Coordination/Support: Support Customer Program Management teams in task execution, workflow management,  and system update/maintenance. 
  • Case management: Concurrently manage a variety of manufacturing orders with multiple customers and the internal operations teams. 
  • Communication: facilitate technical communication between the customers (mostly mechanical engineers) and internal stakeholders. 
  • Collaboration: Collaborate and support various cross-functional teams to satisfy internal and external customer requirements. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify improvement areas and collaborate with the cross-functional team to prioritize and define solutions to increase our efficiency.

Desired Traits

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and one (1) - three (3) years of relevant experience preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • The work is fast-paced - you will be working in an operations environment with tight deadlines and high standards. You will need to be organized with good time management, prioritization skills and great attention to detail. 
  • We obsess over our customers- you will need to be personable and have outstanding communications skills (both written and verbal) and be able to adapt your communication style effectively. Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
  • This role requires a self-starter mentality. e want you to be excited by a hands-on, high-performing, results-oriented role and driven to exceed expectations for our clients. Accountability is everything; you say what you do and do what you say.

Skill development- within your first 12 months in this role you will grow your skills in the following areas; 

  • Project Management: Learning the project management fundamentals to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. 
  • Customer Relationship Management: Work directly with customers from a diverse range of industries, from innovative startups to established, multibillion-dollar enterprises. This experience will sharpen your ability to understand customer needs, address challenges, and deliver tailored solutions that enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manufacturing Industry Knowledge: Gain a broad understanding of the manufacturing sector, including its challenges, trends, and innovations. You’ll learn about key processes, technologies, and the industry's impact on global supply chains.
  • Business Acumen: Develop a strong sense of business strategy, enabling you to make informed decisions that help drive company performance. You’ll learn how to assess opportunities, manage risks, and evaluate business metrics critical to success.
  • Cross-Regional Collaboration: Partner with manufacturing teams across global regions. You will develop a nuanced understanding of regional differences, learn to navigate cultural considerations, and effectively collaborate with international teams to achieve common goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside diverse teams across the organization, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and R&D, to bring customer solutions to life. This experience will enhance your ability to collaborate across functions, understand different perspectives, and drive collective success.
