Toast is driven by building the all-in-one restaurant platform that helps restaurants operate their business, increase sales, engage guests, and keep employees happy. We are seeking an Executive Talent Researcher to support our recruiting efforts. In this role, you will conduct detailed market research and talent mapping for our open roles, provide insights on talent trends in the industry. This role is crucial in identifying, engaging, and pipelining top talent for critical roles across our organization. You will be responsible for reporting on key metrics, identifying trends, and providing recommendations to refine our hiring processes and attract top talent.The ideal candidate will possess strong research skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for understanding talent markets.
Must have:
  • Conduct market research to inform competitive compensation and talent sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and talent mapping to identify potential candidates.
  • Utilize various sourcing techniques to build robust talent pipelines.
  • Analyze market trends and provide competitive intelligence to inform recruitment strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate data within our ATS - Greenhouse.
  • Identify trends, insights, and opportunities for process improvement based on data analysis.
  • Conduct industry research and talent intelligence analysis on competitors, market shifts, org structures, diversity trends, and emerging skills.
  • Proactively build and maintain long-term talent pipelines for niche, senior, and high-impact roles through sourcing, referrals, and networking.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders and partner with Talent partners on various projects.
  • Track and report on research and pipeline progress; share regular insights with recruiters and hiring teams.
  • Continuously evaluate and suggest tools, platforms, and resources to improve research quality and efficiency.
  • Build competitor org charts, diversity snapshots, compensation benchmarks, and regional talent availability reports to support decision-making for senior hiring.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Proficiency in platforms like Naukri, Instahyre, Github, Stack Overflow.
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Experience synthesizing qualitative and quantitative research into clear, compelling deliverables.
  • Prior experience supporting hiring across technical and non-technical roles or global markets (Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan - APAC).

We are seeking an Executive Talent Researcher to support our recruiting efforts. In this role, you will conduct detailed market research and talent mapping for our open roles, provide insights on talent trends in the industry. This role is crucial in identifying, engaging, and pipelining top talent for critical roles across our organization. You will be responsible for reporting on key metrics, identifying trends, and providing recommendations to refine our hiring processes and attract top talent.The ideal candidate will possess strong research skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for understanding talent markets.

This is a hybrid role based in Bangalore, India with an onsite expectation of two days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to inform competitive compensation and talent sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and talent mapping to identify potential candidates.
  • Utilize various sourcing techniques to build robust talent pipelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in research and data analysis in talent acquisition or HR context.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other platforms like Naukri, Instahyre, Github, Stack Overflow, etc.
  • Experience synthesizing qualitative and quantitative research into clear, compelling deliverables (e.g., presentations, reports, briefs).
  • Prior experience supporting hiring across technical and non-technical roles or global markets (Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan - APAC) is a strong plus.
