The Facility Asset Management Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility asset management, including project planning, management, and execution. This involves reviewing annual and long-range Integrated Facility Project Plans, analyzing feasibility, operating requirements, financial returns, and environmental impacts. The role requires leading a team of project managers and construction experts to deliver a portfolio of projects across institutional, commercial, retail, and hotel sectors. Responsibilities include developing project management strategies, procurement strategies, and construction management strategies, ensuring projects meet quality, budget, and timeline objectives. The manager will also review and develop bids, considering time, cost, design, and quality standards. Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills are essential.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture/Engineering/related
  • 10+ years relevant experience in project & portfolio management
  • Experience with large-scale projects (institutional/commercial)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation & analytical skills
  • Leadership & interpersonal skills
  • Professional registration (HKIE/HKIS/HKIA)

Job Summary:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Master Project Plan – Review annual and long-range Integrated Facility Project Plans in line with the local and global business plans and direct comprehensive analysis relating to feasibility, operating requirements, financial returns, environmental impacts, technical and local code compliances, funding and resources planning, development issues and other key strategic project related issues.  
  • Project Management – Review and develop strategic project plan setting out the project management approach for the planned projects with project structure, role of project participants and mechanisms to plan, implement, monitor and review the project development in accordance with the project objectives.     
  • Leadership – Lead and develop a team of project managers and construction experts in different engineering disciplines and building professionals to deliver a portfolio of projects.
  • Project Management Strategy – Provide guidance to overall project management to achieve strategic benefit and objectives from planned project portfolio and in line with specified quality, budget and timeline. Develop, monitor and review the Master Project Plan, Project Management plan, Master Construction Scheduling and Master Project Cost Plan.
  • Procurement – Review and develop a strategy of how the projects will be procured, lead bid preparation and assessment, taking into consideration specific project nature in term of time, cost, design, specified quality standard.
  • Construction Management – Provide guidance to overall construction strategy including phasing and sequencing, logistics, safety plan, quality control and delivery.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture/ Building Surveying/ Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant technical and project management, portfolio management experience. Experience in project management role on large scale institutional/ commercial/ retail/ hotel projects with a client organization is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills required, able to balance the competing requirements of a wide variety of stakeholders and yet meeting delivery timeline and budget.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skill across all levels of organization.
  • Professional Registration with Corporate membership of relevant professional institutions (HKIE / HKIS / HKIA).
