Job Description

Zones LLC seeks a Technical Project Manager to support their customer's Retail IT Team. The role involves coordinating with multiple vendors on tech schedules, troubleshooting, equipment shipments, process updates, and documentation. Responsibilities include working with business partners and store staff, performing QC on installs, basic network troubleshooting, issue resolution, project fulfillment, and potentially early morning work. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of IT project management experience, including developing project plans, managing budgets, and collaborating with stakeholders. Strong networking knowledge, proficiency in Windows 10 and Microsoft suites, and root cause analysis skills are essential. Experience with IT equipment installs, national rollouts, and Smartsheet is a plus.

Position Details: 
Term: 1 year with potential to extend 
Location: 100% remote, but candidates must reside in the greater Portland area for on-site work when needed
Hours: Mon-Friday standard business hours 
Hourly pay + benefits. 
 
We are searching for a Technical Project Manager to work with our customer's Retail IT Team supporting multiple projects for their sports retail stores in North America.  
 
What you'll do as the Project Manager:

  • Coordinating with multiple vendors on the following:
  • Tech schedule
  • Tech questions
  • Troubleshooting
  •  Equipment shipments
  •  Updating processes, documentation and creating KB articles as needed
  • Working with business partners
  • Working with store staff
  •  Performing QC on installs
  • Performing basic network troubleshooting
  • Working with various vendors to resolve issues
  •  Owning issues and tickets from start to finish
  • Responsible for project fulfillment and execution
  •  Potentially working early hours to perform tasks before a store opens
 
What you'll bring to the table: 
 
• Has 5 years’ experience preferably in an IT environment developing project plans, communication plans, WBS, managing budgets, and collaborating with executives and other stakeholders on project decisions.
• Must be able to work with multiple issues and locations at a time
•  Ability to Work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be highly organized
• Has networking knowledge (understand basic IP protocols, basic switching and routing) to be a liaison between the networking team and tech on site
• Is proficient in Windows 10, & Microsoft suites
• Able to work a flexible work schedule
• Able to perform root cause analysis
• Able to work on their own while moving issues and projects forward
• Has performed rollouts in an IT environment
• Understanding various IT equipment installs, experience walking through and scheduling technicians as well as working on a national project/rollout, and Network+ and A+ certifications a plus
• Smartsheet experience is a major plus
• PMP training and experience in a retail environment is a major plus
• RFID knowledge beneficial but not required
• Microsoft Intune knowledge beneficial but not required
