Job Description
As a Member of Technical Staff - CERT, you will be part of the Wind River Operating System team, working on projects that deliver mission-critical, robust, and deterministic Real Time Operation Systems suitable for various applications, especially in the aerospace and automotive industries. You will develop high-quality design and code, along with documentation for DO-178 certification. The role also includes investigating and resolving issues, participating in Agile software development, and working with the "Helix Virtualization Platform" development team. The successful candidate will be delivering mission-critical Real-Time Operating Systems for avionics and automotive applications. The role requires a successful candidate must engage in a security clearance process.
Must have:
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
- 5-7 years relevant technical experience in software development.
- Strong analytical skills in the C programming language.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent programming skills using Python and Linux shells scripts.
Good to have:
- Experience with RTOS software development.
- Exceptional team player who works well in collaborative environments.
- Familiarity with iterative and agile/scrum software development processes.
- Certification experience is a plus.
- ARM/Intel/RISC-V SoC Experience is a plus.
- Experience with Virtualization is advantageous.

Within the Wind River Operating System team, we work on projects that deliver mission critical, robust, and deterministic Real Time Operation Systems suitable for a wide variety of mission critical applications including the aerospace and automotive industry. We are looking for experienced and high-performing individuals that can learn and contribute to these technologies.
Who You Will Work With:
The successful candidate will join a highly skilled "Helix Virtualization Platform" development team delivering mission critical Real-Time Operating System for avionics and automotive applications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high quality design and code.
- Develop and deliver high quality documentation used for DO-178 certification evidence.
- Ability to review DO-178 artifacts and provide guidance to conform to Certification standards
- Investigate and resolve issues reported during product verification and customer integration.
- Participate in all aspects of the software development process using Agile development.
Qualifications/Skills:
- BSc / MSc degree (Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree).
- 5-7 years of relevant technical experience in software development.
- Strong analytical skills in the C programming language.
- ability to obtain NSA clearance
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent programming skills using Python and Linux shells scripts.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Experience with RTOS software development a plus.
- Exceptional team player who works well in collaborative environments.
- Self-managed, fast learner with the desire and ability to master new technologies.
- Familiarity with iterative and agile/scrum software development processes.
- Certification experience is a plus.
- ARM/Intel/RISC-V SoC Experience is a plus.
- Experience with Virtualization is advantageous.

Security Clearance Requirements
Successful candidates must engage in a security clearance process in regards to their citizenship in order to perform fundamental job duties, as per applicable law.
