Job Description
This role involves working within the Wind River Operating System team on projects delivering mission-critical, robust, and deterministic Real-Time Operating Systems for aerospace and automotive industries. The successful candidate will join a skilled "Helix Virtualization Platform" development team. Responsibilities include developing high-quality designs, code, and documentation for DO-178 certification, investigating and resolving issues, and participating in the Agile software development process. The candidate will collaborate with the team to deliver mission-critical Real-Time Operating Systems. The candidate must have a strong work ethic and the ability to function well in a team environment.
Must have:
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related field
- 5-7 years of relevant software development experience
- Strong analytical skills in the C programming language
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent programming skills using Python and Linux scripts
Good to have:
- Experience with RTOS software development
- Experience with ARM/Intel/RISC-V SoC
- Experience with Virtualization
- Certification experience

Within the Wind River Operating System team, we work on projects that deliver mission critical, robust, and deterministic Real Time Operation Systems suitable for a wide variety of mission critical applications including the aerospace and automotive industry. We are looking for experienced and high-performing individuals that can learn and contribute to these technologies.
Who You Will Work With:
The successful candidate will join a highly skilled "Helix Virtualization Platform" development team delivering mission critical Real-Time Operating System for avionics and automotive applications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high quality design and code.
- Develop and deliver high quality documentation used for DO-178 certification evidence.
- Ability to review DO-178 artifacts and provide guidance to conform to Certification standards
- Investigate and resolve issues reported during product verification and customer integration.
- Participate in all aspects of the software development process using Agile development.
Qualifications/Skills:
- BSc / MSc degree (Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree).
- 5-7 years of relevant technical experience in software development.
- Strong analytical skills in the C programming language.
- ability to obtain NSA clearance
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent programming skills using Python and Linux shells scripts.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Experience with RTOS software development a plus.
- Exceptional team player who works well in collaborative environments.
- Self-managed, fast learner with the desire and ability to master new technologies.
- Familiarity with iterative and agile/scrum software development processes.
- Certification experience is a plus.
- ARM/Intel/RISC-V SoC Experience is a plus.
- Experience with Virtualization is advantageous.

Security Clearance Requirements
Successful candidates must engage in a security clearance process in regards to their citizenship in order to perform fundamental job duties, as per applicable law.
