Job Description

The Operations Analyst (Reconciliation) will be responsible for daily tasks such as investigating and resolving reconciliation breaks, preparing monthly reports, monitoring email communication, and performing cash adjustments. They will conduct daily reconciliations of cash, trades, and positions on client accounts, liaise with third-party managers, counterparties, clients, and custodians to resolve operational issues, maintain procedures, manage administrative activities, and contribute to reports. The role requires a thorough understanding of reconciliations, experience in a buy-side or outsourced operations team, and knowledge of capital market products.

We are looking for a Reconciliation Specialist to join our team, who has a broad understanding of all Investment Operations functions. The role requires expertise across the full trade lifecycle and Investment Accounting Operations. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on high-quality and timely delivery. A strong interest in learning and harnessing technology will help you succeed in this role.

What you will be responsible for: 

  • Action daily tasks and monitor the workflow of processes such as: 
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks and issues
  • Preparing monthly reports
  • Monitoring email box and replying on the emails in a timely manner
  • Performing postings of cash adjustment in the system
  • Conducting daily reconciliation of Cash, Trades and Positions on Client accounts
  • Independently liaise with 3rd Party Managers, Counterparties, Clients and Custodians to resolve operational issues 
  • Maintain procedures and ongoing training 
  • Manage all administrative activities and contribute to reports to management 
  • Knowledge and adherence to service delivery against SLA and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) 
  • Independent investigation of complex cases with custodians

  • Thorough understanding of reconciliations 
  • Significant experience in working within a buy-side or outsourced Operations team 
  • Understanding of claims procedures. 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • A good level of knowledge of Capital Market products 
  • Familiarity with diverse security types and the investment industry 
  • Enhanced communication with good verbal and written skills (English Language) 
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools (Word &Excel) 
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL
  • Strong analytical skills and logical understanding of the processes 
  • Business Analyst, project or onboarding experience is an advantage
