This role as a Quality Assurance Engineer II involves ensuring the quality and reliability of products through systematic testing and inspection. Responsibilities include test planning, execution of various tests (functional, regression, performance, integration) using automated tools, defect tracking, process improvement, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation, with skills in automated testing tools and programming languages like Java. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.

About the Role

  • As a Quality Assurance professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of products or services through systematic testing and inspection processes.
  • Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address issues, improve processes, and uphold quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Test Planning and Strategy:
  • Develop comprehensive test plans outlining the scope, approach, resources, and schedule for testing activities.
    Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and specifications.
  • Test Execution:
  • Execute various types of tests, including functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
    Use automated testing tools and frameworks to streamline testing processes.
    Record and document test results, and analyze them to identify patterns and trends.
  • Defect Tracking and Management:
  • Identify, report, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and communication of issues.
    Work closely with developers and other stakeholders to reproduce and isolate reported defects.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    Provide feedback to the development team on areas for improvement in the software development life cycle.
  • Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure a shared understanding of quality objectives.
    Participate in design and requirement reviews to provide input on potential quality issues.
  • Documentation:
  • Create and maintain documentation related to testing processes, test cases, and procedures.
    Generate test summary reports for project stakeholders.

Skills

  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java) for test automation.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, and test automation.
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
