Job Description

This internship at Black Shamrock offers recent graduates or final-year students a chance to gain experience in recruitment and operations. Responsibilities include assisting with all aspects of recruitment (posting jobs, interviewing candidates, improving sourcing strategies), partnering with hiring managers, supporting administrative tasks, strengthening employer branding (attending events, social media), participating in HR projects, maintaining employee records, providing general administrative support, assisting with office operations, and helping with financial tasks. The internship lasts 6-12 months and is primarily office-based in Dublin, Ireland. Interns will be considered for permanent roles after successful completion and receive monthly remuneration.

What Is an Intern with Black Shamrock? 

  • A recent graduate of a relevant educational program or currently studying their penultimate/final year of the same (recognition is given to any relevant qualification on the National Framework of Qualifications at Level 6 or above). 
  • Interns will be eligible for consideration for any relevant permanent roles that should open subsequent to their successful completion of the Internship Program.
  • Internships include remuneration on a monthly basis and as such requires participants to be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland. 
  • Internships can last anywhere from 6–12 months and will primarily be office based.  

Responsibilities

  • Assist in all aspects of recruitment including posting jobs, meeting with hiring managers, reviewing resumes, scheduling and coordination of interviews, with a particular emphasis on the ongoing sourcing of new candidates for positions across all departments. 
  • Take a creative and results-driven approach to recruiting, developing, and improving our sourcing strategies for both active and passive candidates. 
  • Partner with Hiring Managers to understand current and future needs as well as educating on interview best practices and people development. 
  • Supporting administrative tasks relating to the recruitment of key talent and new hire onboarding/induction. 
  • Strengthen our employer brand by providing an exceptional end-to-end candidate experience, as well as assisting with ongoing holistic employer branding efforts such as attending events, posting on social media, etc. 
  • Participate in ongoing HR-related projects, such as ongoing employee engagement initiatives, company events, educational outreach and charity-related efforts through our local Corporate Social Responsibility Committee. 
  • Assist in maintaining and updating employee records. 
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team.  
  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the office and help with maintaining office equipment.  
  • Participate the planning, organising and running of company events.  
  • Ensure that office supplies and logistics are taken care of with the support of the Office Administrator.  
  • Assist with the processing of invoices and varies activities as part of periodic financial cycles. 
  • Participate in various administrative or office projects, offering support where needed. 

Qualifications

 

  • Recently completed or currently studying programs in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business, Law, Administration, Finance, People Management, etc. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) is required. 
  • Fluent spoken and written English is needed for this position, but fluency and familiarity with additional languages are an advantage. 
  • A passion for gaming and an interest in the games industry.
