Senior Cloud Engineer

Position Summary

SciPlay is a leading developer and publisher of digital games on mobile and web platforms, providing highly entertaining free-to-play games that millions of people play every day for their authenticity, engagement and fun.

SciPlay currently offers nine core games, including social casino games Jackpot Party Casino, Gold Fish Casino Slots, Hot Shot Casino and Quick Hit Slots, and casual games MONOPOLY Slots, Bingo Showdown, 88 Fortunes Slots, Backgammon Live, and Solitaire Daily Break with offices all over the world!

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Cloud Architecture & Design: Architect, design, and deploy highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable infrastructure on AWS. Ensuring proper security best practices are implemented through proper role and secret management.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use Terraform to automate the deployment and management of AWS infrastructure. Develop and maintain infrastructure templates to ensure repeatable and scalable infrastructure provisioning.
• Automation & Configuration Management: Automate the provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of AWS resources
• Containerization & Orchestration: Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker.
• CI/CD Integration: Design and implement CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins for seamless application and infrastructure deployments.
• Networking & VPC Management: Design and manage network setup.
• Monitoring & Logging: Implement comprehensive monitoring using Open Telemetry, Grafana, Mimir, and Prometheus.
• Database Management: Manage AWS database services like Amazon RDS, Amazon DynamoDB, and Amazon ElastiCache, ensuring optimal performance, high availability, and cost efficiency.
• Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize cloud resource utilization.
• High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Design and implement disaster recovery strategies
• Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting: Use AWS-native tools and services to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize infrastructure
• Collaboration & Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, collaborating with development and operations teams to deliver high-quality cloud solutions.

Qualifications

Education: 

• B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience

Required Experience:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS): Extensive hands-on experience with core AWS services
• AWS Security: Strong experience in implementing IAM roles and policies
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficient in using Terraform for provisioning and managing infrastructure as code in AWS.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Expertise in deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications using Docker.
• Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting skills for automating cloud infrastructure management tasks.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
• Networking & VPC Management: Deep knowledge of AWS VPC, security groups, network ACLs, Elastic Load Balancer (ELB), Route 53, and AWS networking best practices.
• Database & Storage: Experience with Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, and Amazon S3.
• Disaster Recovery & High Availability: Proven experience in designing disaster recovery plans, failover mechanisms, and highly available AWS architectures.
