The Senior Director of Product will lead the product business strategy for an unannounced project, utilizing analytical skills, mobile free-to-play expertise, and business acumen to create engaging experiences. Responsibilities include defining and driving the game's business strategy, managing a team of Product Managers, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement core features, conducting user and competitive research, championing product vision, and providing business cases and ROI analysis. The role requires a passion for games and creating user experiences, ensuring product decisions are data-driven, and supporting the career development of product management team members. The Senior Director will be expected to provide business cases and ROI analysis based on in depth analysis and demonstrate how that analysis impacts business metrics and overall P&L.
Must have:
  • Product Management experience in free-to-play mobile game development
  • Experience working on shooter and/or RPG titles
  • Experience with new game development from concept to launch
  • Ability to provide clear direction and set measurable goals
Good to have:
  • Previous experience with leading product for a AAA Studio
  • PC/Console experience
  • Passion for and in-depth knowledge of ARPG mid-core and hardcore genres

Position Overview:

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Director of Product to join our studio and to drive the product business strategy for our next project. You will use a combination of excellent analytical abilities, mobile free to play expertise, business acumen, and critical thinking to build and evolve immersive experiences to keep players engaged.

You will have a proven track record of owning and delivering large scale experiences to players that raise the bar from an innovation and player experience perspective.

What You'll Do:

  • As part of the game leadership team, define and drive the game’s business strategy and build a robust product roadmap for development and post-launch live operations
  • You will lead and manage a team of high calibre Product Managers, supporting their career development, and maximizing their impact through coaching and process improvements
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team (Design, Art, Production, Engineering & Analytics) to design, scope and implement core features that result in an outstanding gameplay experience for our players and positively influence key metrics
  • You will drive user and competitive research, and ensure that product decisions are based on in-depth data analysis and an understanding of the market and players
  • Effectively champion product vision & strategy, monitor product progression through completion of milestones, and partner with other key disciplines including Analytics, Consumer Insights and Marketing
  • Build knowledge and understanding of data driven insights within the rest of the team through regular communication and the creation of meaningful dashboards and reports
  • Expected to provide business cases and ROI analysis based on in depth analysis and demonstrate how that analysis impacts business metrics and overall P&L
  • Be a player champion!

What You Bring:

  • Product Management experience in free-to-play mobile game development, with a consistent track record in shipping titles, managing live operations, balancing in-game economies and leading Product Management team
  • Experience working on shooter and/or RPG titles
  • Experience with new game development from concept stage through to worldwide launch
  • Experienced at articulating product vision, driving team-wide and studio-wide cross discipline alignment and evangelizing the vision to key stakeholders
  • Ability to provide clear direction, set measurable goals and give insight on industry trends
  • Identify areas of growth ranging from acquisition funnel and in- game optimisations
  • Build knowledge and understanding of data driven insights through regular communication and the creation of meaningful dashboards and reports
  • Strong passion for games, creating fun and compelling user experiences

Bonus Points:

  • Previous experience with leading product for a AAA Studio
  • PC/Console experience
  • Passion for and in-depth knowledge of ARPG mid-core and hardcore genres and other FTP titles in these categories
