Job Description

This Senior Product Manager role focuses on leading the furniture product line from concept to launch and beyond. Responsibilities include defining the product roadmap, developing business cases, managing product requirements, conducting market research, developing product positioning and messaging, driving the entire product life cycle, providing business leadership to cross-functional teams, defining product feature sets, working with the Go-To-Market team, training sales teams, developing sales tools, understanding buyer behaviors, analyzing competition, developing demand creation strategies, managing marketing programs, and creating content and collateral. The role requires strong leadership, teamwork, negotiation, and influencing skills, along with expertise in product development processes and marketing communications.
Must have:
  • 10+ years product marketing experience
  • Brand/product management & marketing communication knowledge
  • Proven writing skills (business plans, product positioning, etc.)
  • Market segmentation, customer analysis, competitive analysis experience
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Understanding of product development processes

Job Description

Played a crucial role in managing the development of our furniture product line from concept to launch and beyond. 

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • As the team leader for the furniture product line, you will be responsible for defining the product roadmap, developing business cases, and managing product requirements 
  • Conduct market intelligence and research to identify requirements for current and future products.
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that clearly differentiates products in the market.
  • Support the business by driving the entire product life cycle, encompassing strategic planning, development, and tactical activities.
  • Providing business leadership to the cross functional product development team throughout design, development, and product releases.
  • Help to define product features sets by analyzing costs trends and end users buying preferences.
  • Work directly with the Go To Market team to create and execute GTM plans for new products.
  • Train the sales teams on new products and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of the products.
  • Develop market intelligence by understanding buyer behaviors, how they buy and their buying criteria.
  • Be the expert on competition (products, pricing, positioning) and how to beat them.
  • Develop the demand creation strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for the products.
  • Develop content and collateral including sales and partner presentations, white papers, datasheets, box copy, customer case studies, website content, etc.
  • Provide external interface including customer and executive presentations, press and industry analyst briefings.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - Degree in Marketing, Economics, Engineering or Computer Science fields preferred.
  • 10 or more years product marketing experience, consumer products, and gaming consumer products preferred.
  • Willing to travel, domestic and international, up to 20%.
  • Highly knowledgeable in brand/product management & marketing communication.
  • Proven Writing Skills: business plans, product positioning, web assets, collaterals, etc.
  • Proven track record of market segmentation, customer analysis, competitive analysis, and positioning experience
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Strong leader and proven team player.
  • Understanding of product development processes.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in Milpitas, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.  

Annual Salary Range $130,000—$160,000 USD
