Job Description

This Senior Site Reliability Engineer role involves supporting web-based applications for high-traffic websites and working with UNIX/Linux or Windows servers, containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. The role includes troubleshooting and performance tuning of distributed systems, managing infrastructure as code tools, administering on-premise Kubernetes and private cloud platforms, and participating in an agile environment. The candidate will develop their abilities via training opportunities. This position requires a deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and load balancing concepts. The responsibilities include managing and improving Infrastructure as Code tools and automated provisioning workflows, administering on-premise Kubernetes and private cloud platforms, and participating in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Good To Have:

Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) preferred
Experience working with Load Balancers such as F5’s Big-IP
Experience with configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible
Experience in scripting languages like Ruby, Python, Bash or Powershell
Experience working with DevOps Open-Source tools

Must Have:

3+ years experience in supporting web-based applications
4+ years experience working with UNIX/Linux or Windows servers
3+ years experience with containerization technologies
Experience in troubleshooting and performance tuning
Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP

Education: B.E. Computer Science/IT degree (or any other engineering discipline)
Work timings: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST

Position Requirements:
 3+ years' experience in supporting web-based applications for large scale and high-traffic websites
 4+ years’ experience working with UNIX/Linux or Windows servers
 3+ years’ experience working with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
 Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) preferred
 Experience in troubleshooting and performance tuning of distributed systems and web applications
 Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP and load balancing concepts
 Experience working with Load Balancers such as F5’s Big-IP
 Experience with configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible or Saltstack
 Experience in scripting languages like Ruby, Python, Bash or Powershell
 Experience working with DevOps Open-Source tools such as ArgoCD, Elastic (ELK Stack), Hashicorp Tools (Terraform, Consul, Vault or Nomad), RabbitMQ, SOLR, Redis & Kafka
 Fundamental understanding of CI/CD with experience in creating CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, CircleCI
 Ability to communicate high-level as well as detailed technical concepts and implementations with peers and colleagues
