Job Description

Epsilon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work on a complex rule-based multi-channel marketing campaign platform for Fortune 100 companies. The role involves setting up development environments, analyzing and designing new features, collaborating with QA and production support teams, developing features, assisting production support, automating operational tasks, and supporting system upgrades. Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders, participating in software development planning, defining and documenting software objectives and business requirements, developing user documentation, preparing work assignments, collaborating with QA on test cases and defect fixes, developing and implementing solutions according to policies, administering project documentation, performing root cause analysis, and assisting in process improvement.
Must have:
  • 5-7 years of Full Stack Developer experience
  • Excellent skills in Angular, NodeJS, and Oracle databases
  • Hands-on experience in UI wireframe implementation using Angular
  • Ability to implement reliable, scalable, and high-performing solutions
  • Knowledge of software architecture and UI coding styles
  • Excellent impact and root cause analysis skills
  • Troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in performance tuning and application monitoring
  • Ability to define and implement migration strategies
  • Ability to work well in geographically distributed teams
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Good to have:
  • Working knowledge of UI development using Angular in automotive marketing/CRM applications
  • Experience with GIT, TFS, code check-in, and code merging

Summary:

 

The position requires strong product development knowledge to work on a complex rule based multi-channel marketing campaign platform supporting Fortune 100 companies.

 

The position’s purpose includes, but is not limited to: 

  • Setup/configuration of the development environment 
  • Analysis and design of new and enhanced features for the marketing platform as per business requirements 
  • Communication with QA, product and production support teams etc. to deliver new or enhanced features and address issues/concerns 
  • Development of features as per design provided. 
  • Assistance of Production Support team for solving issues 
  • Development work for automation of operational tasks. 
  • Support system patch or version upgrade 
  • Assist with reporting tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with developers, project managers, business analysts and business users in conceptualizing, estimating and developing new software applications and enhancements. 
  • Be part of software development plans, including scoping, scheduling, providing time estimates for programming tasks and implementation plans. 
  • Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software’s objectives, business requirements,tasks, and specifications in collaboration with internal users and departments. 
  • Develop user documentation to define the system components, development environment and implementation planning/strategies. 
  • Prepare work assignments, and work on given timelines with other team members. 
  • Collaborate with QA team to define test cases, to work on defect fixes and resolve questions about test results. 
  • Develops and implements solutions in accordance with policies and procedures. 
  • Administer full project documentation efforts in accordance with policy and procedure 
  • Performs root cause analysis (RCA) to act on fix or user stories.
  • Works with cross-functional teams during crisis to address and resolve complex incidents and problems in addition to assessment, analysis, and resolution of cross-functional issues. 
  • Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing policies and procedures associated with development requires improvement and helps in the process improvement activity. 
  • Update/create Knowledge Base Articles and case studies as necessary. Assist in the creation and improvement of Knowledge Management 

Qualifications

  • Full Stack Developer with 5-7 years of experience required. 
  • Excellent skills in Angular, NodeJS and Oracle databases.
  • Need good hands on experience in implementation of UI wireframe and modules using Angular and latest UI framework.
  • Ability to implement solutions that are reliable, scalable, and perform at a high-level to meet the service levels associated with critically important Oracle-based solutions. 
  • Knowledge of software architecture and standard methodologies for Angular and UI coding style and application tuning. 
  • Excellent in impact-analysis and root cause analysis. 
  • Excellent trouble shooting and debugging skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with ability to anticipate and avoid problems. 
  • Experience in performance tuning, application monitoring and support of production applications with distributed teams. 
  • Ability to define and implement migration strategies from legacy systems to new architecture and technologies. 
  • Ability to work well within a team environment that includes geographically distributed team members. 
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and effectively prioritize and complete tasks in a high-pressure environment. 
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) and an ability to communicate with internal and external customers and all levels of management, including communicating technical information to nontechnical audiences. 
  • Ability to design and build flexible and extensible systems with focus on code reuse and generation. 
  • Experience with writing detailed technical specifications for developers; design, validate and implement software test plans. 
  • Familiar with Application Development Life Cycle and be able to independently participate in design discussions and work on components. 
  • Preferred knowledge on Angular.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
