Job Description

Embedded engineers design, develop, and validate advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and Compute and Security and User Experience products, following Automotive SPICE compliant processes, to enhance vehicle safety and user experience. In this role, you will design, develop, and validate base software modules for automotive applications. Responsibilities include developing software for active safety or body control production projects, designing, coding, and testing real-time embedded systems, and planning software development activities. You will also handle internal and customer diagnostics SW design, power moding, HWIO, Autosar stack configuration, and static/unit/integration testing on hardware platforms.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • At least 2 years of experience in Automotive or Consumer Electronics
  • Proficient in English (speaking/reading/writing)
  • Familiar with Embedded C on microcontroller architectures
Good to have:
  • Master's degree in engineering
  • Experience with ISO26262 Technical Safety Concepts
  • Experience in RTE generation and make environments
  • Experience in Low power mode implementation
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and Automotive SPICE

SHAPE THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY FROM DAY ONE.

This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment.

Summary:

Our embedded engineers design, develop, and validate advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and Compute and Security and User Experience products, following Automotive SPICE (Software Performance Improvement and Capability dEtermination) compliant processes, to enhance vehicle safety and user experience  In this role, you will design, develop, and validate base software modules for automotive applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop software for active safety or body control production projects
  • Design, code, and test real-time embedded systems with first time quality
  • Plan and coordinate software development activities with other global sites
  • Internal and customer diagnostics SW design, power moding, HWIO, Autosar stack configuration using tools like Vector DaVinci and implementation and triaging
  • Responsible for static analysis, unit testing, and integration testing of the software on a hardware platform
  • Coordinating with cross regional teams as needed to achieve project objectives
  • Automotive SPICE (Software Performance Improvement and Capability dEtermination) and Functional Safety process compliance

Your Background

Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, or related field of study)
  • At least 2 years of work experience in Automotive Industry or Consumer Electronics
  • Bilingual – proficient in English speaking/reading/writing
  • Interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a positive approach to challenge
  • Cross functional interests, ambitious and self-driven. Adaptive, comfortable with ambiguity
  • Ability to effectively manage several projects at once
  • Strong soft skills: skilled networking creation, influencing skills, constantly learning, positive and ownership profile
  • Familiar with Embedded C on microcontroller architectures

Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Master’s degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, or related field of study)
  • Experience in realizing ISO26262 Technical Safety Concepts - RAM test, ROM test, Lock step, CPU test, MPU, OS configurations for multicore architectures would be big plus
  • Experience in RTE generation, make environments, multi-party software integration
  • Experience in Low power mode implementation, factory-test software
  • Knowledge of  Agile methodology and Automotive SPICE
