Job summary:
The Engineering & Digital department defines, develops, and deploys processes, tools, and infrastructures to address the challenges faced by systems, software, and hardware engineers at Thales Group.
You will join our Engineering Competence Center Romania department, specifically the Architecture discipline teams. In this capacity, you will contribute to the transformation dynamic of this passionate team to improve our work environment, our processes, and architectural practices aligned strongly with collaboration, sharing, and continuous improvement in an increasingly learning, innovative, and motivating environment.
Operationally, within the "E2 Eng:io" Tribe, you will be part of the Red-Hawks squad, distributed between France and Romania, whom mission is to support (in Agile mode) system and software engineers in migrating their work environment and maintaining a suite of engineering tools and several hosting environments: OrchestraLab, AWS referred to as TPC (Thales Public Cloud), and Azure referred to as TDP (Thales Digital Platform).
Who are you?
Graduated with a Master’s degree or from an Engineering school, you have:
- A minimum of 7 years of successful experience as a Solution Architect
- Recognized skills to present architectural orientations and define implementation strategies in line with the challenges of an organization
- Proficiency in architectural practices, languages, and modeling methods such as TOGAF and Archimate
- In-depth expertise in functional, application, data, technical, information systems security architectures, service-oriented application architectures (SaaS), and cloud deployment architectures
- Strong knowledge in strategic and business architectures
- A good understanding of operational and support issues for a production system
- Knowledge in software engineering (processes, practices, tools)
- Experience in projects applying DevSecOps and Agile methodologies
- Ideally, you have a TOGAF, Archimate, or SAFe certification.

What we can accomplish together
In coordination with the Chief Product Owner and his teams, you will be entrusted with the following missions:
- Address architectural topics while ensuring consistency with the corporate strategy and product policy.
- Translate business strategy into technical strategy and define application solutions in terms of business, functional, application, data, and technical architectures.
- Evaluate architectural scenarios in collaboration with all stakeholders and then support the operational implementation of the recommended solutions.
- Formalize architecture, choices, and decision documents.
- Identify and substantiate architectural risks.
- Contribute to governance bodies (Products, Architecture, etc.) and engineering team meetings by providing your expertise (peer reviews, backlog prioritization, etc.).

- Travels to France - 1/month in the first 6 months
