The Cloud Architect is a crucial role within the support infrastructure, expected to provide expertise in solutions across departments, the company, and the industry. This role involves advising on potential challenges in large-scale, multi-platform infrastructures for various clients. The Architect addresses specific customer needs by utilizing existing and new features, products, and technologies, while also evaluating and documenting solutions. They are responsible for training Cloud Engineering and support staff to ensure the supportability of customer environments. Serving as the final technical escalation point, the Architect resolves complex problems, owns escalations, and acts as a Subject Matter Expert for new product selection and implementation. They also collaborate with vendors to analyze escalated requests, identifying training opportunities to enhance technical expertise and improve customer outcomes.
