Communications Coordinator

About this Role

The Roblox Global Communications Team is responsible for telling the amazing stories about how Roblox is helping to connect a billion people around the world with optimism and civility. We’re seeking a junior team member to join our fast-growing Global Communications Team. As a coordinator on our team, you will support across all of our communications verticals - corporate, executive, consumer, financial, policy, international, and internal. You will have the opportunity to learn about all of the different parts of Roblox, building your communications skillsets and experiences across a host of different projects and responsibilities. 

You have some experience, either in-house or agency, with internships plus 2-3 years of experience. You are a curious self-starter who is eager to learn and to try new things. You are a digital native who is excited about the gaming and technology space. Most importantly, you are eager to roll up your sleeves and join a growing and fast-paced team at one of the most innovative companies in the world. You will:

• Partner across the Communications Team to create materials to support communications efforts, including briefing books, media lists, interview schedules, spokesperson grids, etc.
• Support media outreach efforts by creating media alerts and pitches, along with learning media relations skills starting with local market pitching.
• Oversee the Communications Team media monitoring efforts, including tracking coverage, writing the daily media report, and updating monitoring trackers and metrics reports.
• Collaborate with agency teams to create and submit industry recognition awards.
• Assist teams with live and virtual events including planning and execution for press events and briefings, internal events, platform-wide events, and industry moments.
• Work across the team to improve processes, support company reporting and presentations, and lean in when extra hands are needed.
