Job Details

As a DC-DC power system designer, you will be driving innovative power circuit designs and system level partitioning from initial concept investigations, to design execution, and through successful product manufacturing. Responsibilities: Work with system and power architects on computer and server power architecture investigations using single-phase and multi-phase dc-dc voltage regulators. Apply technical expertise to analyze design tradeoffs including system performance, power consumption & efficiency, physical size, cost, carbon footprint and scalability. Own the power circuit schematic and BOM. Work with the PCB layout team to implement the design. Define complex PMU settings — Including power sequence, GPIOs and voltage regulator configurations. Validate the performance of power circuits through comprehensive lab testing. Perform system level testing with computational workloads. Provide technical support to debug production issues by determining root cause and resolutions. Perform comparative benchmarking to drive innovation and best solutions. Engage vendors to develop next generation integrated circuits, FETs, and passives. Collaborate with engineers from other areas of expertise, e.g. system design & architecture, digital & analog IC design, thermal design, reliability, and mechanical engineering. Present results of your work to peers, managers and cross-functional leadership.
