Job Description

The Senior Analyst will be responsible for financial due diligence projects. They will perform financial analysis, assess historical and forecast earnings, working capital trends, and net debt items. They will work with management to determine the key financial trends, prepare written financial due diligence reports, work in a team, and share knowledge with other team members. The role is full-time, permanent, and requires a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of proven due diligence and financial modelling experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience working within a large, global Chartered Accountancy firm.
  • Completed a relevant qualification in Accounting / Finance / Economics / Mathematics / Engineering or applicable field.
  • Attention to detail and maintenance of data integrity.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work with a number of different clients and internal stakeholders.
  • The ability to proactively learn new skills and competencies.

The PwC Transaction Services team is New Zealand’s leading provider of financial due diligence services. Transaction Services sits within PwC’s Deal practice and works closely with our Corporate Finance team. 

We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Transaction Services team in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland. You will be responsible for working on financial due diligence projects with our clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

This is a full-time, permanent role with a minimum of 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday.

  • Performing financial analysis, including assessing historical / forecast earnings, working capital trends, and net debt / debt-like items (i.e. income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis)

  • Working with management teams to determine the ‘story’ behind the business and the key financial trends

  • Preparing written financial due diligence reports

  • Working in a team, sharing knowledge, and coaching other team members

This is an excellent opportunity to build on your existing experience which will ideally come from a globally known professional services firm. We are looking for an experienced individual who can bring the following competencies and experience to the role:

  • 3+ years proven due diligence and financial modelling experience.

  • Ideally 3+ years’ experience working within a large, global Chartered Accountancy firm.
