Job Details

IO Interactive is seeking an Office Manager to join our team and take the lead in shaping the day-to-day experience of our Barcelona studio. As we grow and push forward on some of our most ambitious titles to date, we are looking for someone who can ensure our studio environment remains as thoughtful and high-quality as the experiences we aim to deliver.

This role is all about supporting our teams, fostering a welcoming and professional environment, and helping our studio grow with intention and care. If you are passionate about operations, people, and culture, and want to play a key role in one of the most exciting chapters of IOI’s story, we would love to hear from you.

What you will do:

  • Champion the studio environment, ensuring it is positive, professional and playfully creative.
  • Keep the kitchen stocked, the plants happy, the energy right and the office running smoothly.
  • Be the go-to person for all things operations, whether it is studio-wide decisions or hands-on daily logistics.
  • Work closely with HR, production and leadership to align on people, processes and culture. You will help bring consistency across studios while adapting to local needs.
  • Collaborate with facilities and studio management for studio improvements and expansions while also taking care of the finer details that make a workspace inspiring, safe and functional. This includes everything from health and safety standards to managing office supplies and maintaining communal areas.
  • Coordinate internal events, studio visits, seasonal celebrations and cultural moments that bring people together and reflect who we are as a studio.
  • Mentor junior staff and support onboarding by ensuring new joiners feel welcomed, equipped and part of the IOI crew from their very first day.
  • Maintain strong relationships with employees, vendors, building partners and the wider IOI team. You will be known as approachable, proactive and solution-focused.
  • Be available out of hours for on-site support in urgent or unforeseen situations. A call-out allowance is included as part of the role.

Who you are:

  • You’re fluent at a native level in Catalan, Spanish, and English, and understand the importance of using English as the primary working language to ensure everyone feels included and informed. You're confident guiding others to do the same with empathy and clarity.
  • You have proven experience in office management, studio operations, or workplace leadership, ideally within a creative or tech-driven environment.
  • You’re a natural leader who thrives on ownership, takes initiative, and brings people along with you.
  • You have excellent communication skills and know how to keep things running smoothly across multiple teams, personalities, and priorities.
  • You understand the importance of both structure and culture, and how they fuel each other.
  • You’re strategic when needed, hands-on when it counts, and always tuned in to the mood of the team around you.

Who we are:

IO Interactive is an independent videogame development and publishing company with studios in Copenhagen, Malmö, Barcelona, Istanbul and Brighton. As the creative force behind some of the most talked-about multiplatform video games in the last decade, we are committed to creating unforgettable characters and experiences – all powered by our award-winning, proprietary Glacier technology.

IOI is a studio that values in-person collaboration. Being together helps us focus our collective energy on our immediate goals. For us, being both in-office as well as connected across our studios helps us integrate our teams faster, strengthen relationships, and improve knowledge-sharing. We believe that the more time we spend together, the more quality and progress we achieve for our games and players.

We know that to achieve those goals, we need courage, talented people and a great working environment – and we do our utmost to have all of that. Across our multiple studios, we’re working on several projects. Crucially though, we’re all one team. We value the work and impact that each person brings to the table and we actively encourage new ideas, whilst listening to your insights along the way.

We have a dedicated team of People Managers, who look after you as an individual and as an employee. With more than 40 nationalities, we know that everyone is different and we are proud to have a reputation for being a friendly workplace with highly-talent people.

About The Company

We are a diverse team of designers, producers, artists, programmers and operations supporters from 40+ different nationalities, working on cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art game design.

The creative teams involved in producing our games are supported by our tech department, which delivers our own Glacier engine, and the incubation department, which helps the team to prototype new and exciting features, game mechanics, or even brand new IPs.

IO Interactive was established in September 1998. The IO Interactive technology team consists of programmers, software engineers and mathematicians with considerable experience in game programming and 3D graphics. Graphic designers, artists and animators are recruited from the game and entertainment industry, as well as the best art schools from all over the world.
