Dreamhaven is committed to building a game company grounded in shared values and a passion for improving the industry for players and developers. We get excited about empowering developers to focus on the parts they’re great at, while we take care of the rest. That’s why we're seeking a Product Manager to help shape and drive the collective vision of our Publishing Platform.  Our platform efforts include areas that most online games need and that can be shared solutions —account, social, commerce, marketing tools and everything else — that help our studios get their games into the hands of players sooner and smoother.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in helping shape feature design, roadmap, and implementation for these shared publishing platform capabilities. You’ll report to the Head of Product, Data & Analytics on the Publishing team, which includes central engineering, operations, and marketing.

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify internal studio needs and how to meet those needs with shared platform solutions
  • Research and recommend industry and distribution platform standards for player-facing features like account management tools, social systems, and in-game shops
  • Partner with platform production and engineering to plan and execute the feature roadmap that are inline with our internal studios’ development timelines
  • Develop documentation of generalized feature solutions and user flows for our game studios to use as an implementation guide
  • Evaluate and integrate third party tools to add to our publishing ecosystem
  • Communicate feature design and roadmap decisions to Publishing group and key stakeholders
  • Continuously refine the productization of our internal work for potential value to external game studios or industry applications
  • Define best practices, mentor others, and improve processes related to product management

What We Need:

  • Product management experience with gaming or tech platforms, ideally  end-to-end feature development and vendor integrations
  • Experience working closely with studio and cross-functional teams
  • Familiar with internally developed and externally purchased platform solutions
  • Skilled at translating information to technical and non-technical audiences, verbally and in writing
  • Knowledgeable working with first party platforms (e.g. Steam, Xbox Live, PlayStation Network)
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology is a plus
  • UI/UX experience is a plus

Who You Are:

  • An ardent advocate for customers which include game studios, internal stakeholders, and our players
  • Excited about, and committed to, designing seamless player experiences
  • Comfortable working on complex problems without well-defined solutions
  • Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and best practices
  • Strong convictions, loosely held you bring a distinct point of view while still open to compromise
  • Foundational understanding of business operations such as budgeting, cost allocation, profit and loss, business development, contract negotiations, etc.
  • Passionate about video games or are interested in starting (PC, console, and mobile experience counts!)
