Job Description

As a Senior Principal Sales Manager at SimCorp, you will drive growth in the US market, focusing on Asset Management and Insurance clients. Your responsibilities include identifying and qualifying leads, developing sales pipelines, and closing deals. You will also be involved in responding to tenders, creating brand awareness, and understanding SimCorp's products. The role involves managing sales processes, monitoring industry trends, and overcoming sales objections to meet client needs. This role requires an understanding of enterprise financial software sales, buy-side investment management processes, and experience with complex sales cycles.
Must have:
  • Expertise in enterprise financial software sales.
  • Experience in closing new business deals.
  • Knowledge of buy-side investment management processes.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles.
  • Experience with C-suite and operating committee engagement.

Why this role is important to us 

The SimCorp Sales Team is responsible for promoting growth across the region. We have big global commercial aspirations, and the US is a key market. Your focus is growing the business in the US across the Asset Management and Insurance target landscape, and you will be measured on reaching your sales targets. 

What you will be responsible for 

New Business Development

  • Identify and qualify Asset Management and Insurance leads, develop pipeline of sales opportunities, and convert these opportunities to completed sales. Consistently seek to surpass individual sales targets and attain win-rates above SimCorp averages 
  • Respond to tenders and requests for information/proposal in a timely manner, providing both accurate and detailed information to meet expectations, that shortlists SimCorp in preferred position 
  • Create awareness of the SimCorp value proposition amongst the Asset Management industry through strategic outreach, participation at industry conferences and campaigns. 

Sales Planning & Process Management  

  • Leverage a detailed understanding of SimCorp’s sales model, methodology, relevant processes and tools.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of SimCorp's product and service portfolio, capabilities and other offerings, in a way that this is translated into client business outcomes in concrete sales cases 
  • Continuously identify and monitor buy-side industry trends and competitor activity 
  • Overcome sales objections and position SimCorp's products and services to meet client needs
  • Apply sales creativity in combining our offerings or looking to create innovative offerings that present return on investment and/or cost saving 
  • Maintain an accurate and up to date pipeline and forecast 

What we value 

  • Deep expertise in enterprise financial software and SaaS sales, with a vendor catering to the buy side Asset Management/Insurance industry in the US. 
  • Experience with creating and sourcing new opportunities, identifying key decision makers and closing new business 
  • Key expertise and experience in the following areas: 
  • Buy-side Investment management processes (front, middle and back office) 
  • Difficulties and opportunities facing Asset Management/Insurance 
  • Managing complex and long sales cycles with eight figure financial impact 
  • C-suite and operating committee engagement process 
  • Knowledge of or experience with SimCorp One will be considered a positive 
  • Willingness to travel as required 
  • Flexibility to attend SimCorp office 3x/week as per our hybrid policy 

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $139,000 - $200,000 USD. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including health care, leave, and retirement plans. Your total compensation may vary based on role, location, department and individual performance.
