The role involves an individual contributor responsible for checking and reporting software products for defects or issues according to project standards. Key responsibilities include executing test cases, analyzing results, performing various levels of testing, identifying and reporting defects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, understanding technical specifications, providing qualitative feedback, partnering with other testers, designing test scenarios, analyzing use cases/requirements, and maintaining timely communication.
Must have:
  • Exposure to QA processes and methodologies
  • Experience testing games in various development phases
  • Aptitude in defect identification, documentation, and assessment
  • Aptitude in test case management
  • Demonstrated prioritization skills
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills
Good to have:
  • Experience with test case creation
  • Test planning knowledge
  • Experience with mobile and web platforms (Android, iOS, Windows, Facebook)
  • Experience testing web-based applications

About the role:    
Individual contributor responsible for checking and reporting software products for defects or issues (according to project standards). 
 
The Quest:     
  • Execution of test cases and analysis of results 
  • Understanding and performing of all levels of basic to advanced testing in a timely manner 
  • Identification and analysis of defects (reproducibility, back-tracing) 
  • Reporting and documenting defects and issues according to project standards 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle 
  • Understand the technical specifications of the product 
  • Provide qualitative feedback 
  • Partners with other testers to drive QA efforts 
  • Design and run test scenarios based on product and hardware knowledge 
  • Analyzing use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility 
  • Active, thorough, and timely communication with the team 
The Skills:     
  • Previous exposure to Quality Assurance Processes and Methodologies 
  • Experience with testing a game in various phases of its development, from pre-alpha to live deployments 
  • Understanding and proven aptitude in defect identification, research, review, documentation, communication, and assessment 
  • Understanding and proven aptitude in test case management within a designated timeframe 
  • Demonstrated prioritization skills 
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written. 
Nice to have:  
  • Experience with test case creation and essentials test planning knowledge. 
  • Previous experience with mobile and web platforms (Android, iOS, Windows, Facebook). 
  • Previous experience with testing web-based applications.
