Job Summary
Job Description
This role is for a Software Development Lead with 5-7 years of backend engineering experience, specializing in Express.js and Node.js. The lead will be responsible for designing and integrating REST APIs, managing third-party services, and ensuring robust asynchronous programming and error handling. Key responsibilities include working with various databases, implementing modern authentication methods, and utilizing CI/CD pipelines in an agile development environment.
Must have:
- 5–7 years of experience as a backend engineer
- Strong focus on Express.js and Node.js
- Deep knowledge of REST API design principles and best practices
- Proven experience in integrating and managing multiple third-party APIs/services
- Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, error handling, and API versioning
- Familiarity with OAuth2, JWT, and other modern authentication methods
- Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Strong debugging and testing skills, including experience with tools like Postman, Jest, or Mocha
- Proficient in using Git, working in an agile environment, and using tools like Jira or Trello
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
