Job Description

The Ads Measurement Engineering team at Netflix builds systems and integrations enabling advertisers to measure campaign outcomes. This role involves managing large-scale third-party measurement integrations for verification, reach, brand studies, and attribution, while maintaining privacy. You will build first-party solutions for advertisers to understand campaign outcomes, utilizing clean rooms and privacy-enhancing technologies. Experience with ad tech, programmatic advertising, and working with ad operations is crucial. The ideal candidate will have experience developing cloud-based applications and be comfortable with A/B testing and experimentation. This is a fast-paced environment requiring excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Our Team

The Ads Measurement Engineering team builds systems and integrations that enable advertisers on Netflix to quantify campaign outcomes. Leveraging a blend of Netflix innovations and both first-party and third-party solutions, we deliver ads that respect the viewing experience while driving impactful results for advertisers. Our tools empower advertisers to effectively measure and analyze these outcomes.

Our team is new, yet we have enormous ambitions of building highly performant advertising systems and delivering high impact to our business by monetizing our incredible slate of content. As one of the newest entrants in the rapidly growing Connected TV advertising space, we seek to build unique value propositions that help us differentiate from the competition and become a market leader in record time.

We are looking for highly motivated engineers working in the advertising space who are excited to join us on this journey.

Skills & experience we’re seeking:

  • Experience managing large-scale 3p measurement integrations for verification, reach, brand studies, and attribution along with their underlying identity exchanges in a privacy-safe way. In addition, strategic tech investments to allow for quick onboarding and management of new partners. 

  • Experience with building out 1st party solutions for advertisers to understand campaign outcomes.

  • Familiarity with clean rooms and industry-leading privacy-enhancing technology for multi-party data sharing

  • Broad knowledge of ad tech and advertising landscape, programmatic advertising, and digital marketing trends.

  • Worked closely with ad operations to enable campaign setup, measurement, targeting, reporting, and advertiser needs. 

  • Developed many cloud-based applications and comfortable with modern programming languages (preferably object-oriented),

  • Familiar with A/B testing and experimentation.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Nice to haves:

  • Contributed to an ads industry technology standard (e.g  VAST, OpenRTB) or worked on an industry consortium effort, working group etc.

  • Familiarity with legal compliance and changing landscape of ads regulations around the world.

  • Experience working in the CTV space and knowledge of it’s unique constraints

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000 - $720,000.
