We are seeking a motivated Systems Quality Mechatronics Engineer to join the Product Systems Quality, Home Hardware Automation team. In this role, you will develop automated systems that integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components to enhance the performance and quality of Home products. You will work with a diverse group of engineers to create sophisticated automated test fixtures and robotics solutions. The job involves creative problem-solving at the intersection of robotics and consumer electronics testing, ensuring our products meet exceptional quality standards.
Must have:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Experience leading and driving projects independently
- 2+ years of robotics/mechatronic systems experience
- Proficient in Python
- Experience with computer vision (OpenCV) and/or AI/ML
- Experience with applied mathematics (linear algebra, kinematics)
- Experience debugging complex mechatronic and software systems
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate
Good to have:
- Master's in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Ability to analyze issues and develop effective solutions
- Attention to detail and ability to balance multiple projects
- Experience designing and working with electronic circuits
- Demonstrated experience in CAD/mechanical design
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies

As part of a diverse team, you will design, build, and scale robotic automation solutions to test Apple products, ensuring their outstanding quality before they reach customers! Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and run robotic system testing solutions as the owner of one or more technology areas - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver the most effective and impactful ways to test and solve short and long-term problems - Analyze data and results, and report the impact of all system issues found, advocating for the customer and contributing to the highest quality at all levels of the product
- Bachelorʼs in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in leading and driving a project independently
- 2+ years of creating and using robotics and/or mechatronic systems (e.g. microcontrollers, sensors, actuators) to build automated solutions
- Proficient in Python
- Experience with computer vision (OpenCV) and/or AI/ML applications
- Experience with applied mathematics (e.g. linear algebra, transformation matrices, kinematics)
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting complex mechatronic and software systems
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate
- Masterʼs in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Ability to analyze issues and develop effective solutions and scalable processes
- Meticulous attention to detail and skilled at balancing multiple projects in parallel without impacting the quality of deliverables
- Experience designing and working with electronic circuits, and troubleshooting electronic signals for mechatronic solutions
- Demonstrated experience in CAD/mechanical design/design for manufacture
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies and practices
