Job Description

Become part of a dedicated and effective Corporate Audit & Risk Management team that reports directly to the Executive Board of Axel Springer SE. As a risk-oriented auditing and consulting service provider, Corporate Audit assesses the effectiveness of group-wide compliance and monitoring processes. Our Risk Management function also manages the group-wide risk management process and is the central contact for Axel Springer's risk management system. Furthermore, we jointly advise on the further development of the Internal Control System and the introduction of group-wide minimum standards.
Must have:
  • Participate in group-wide risk management
  • Support preparation and execution of risk-oriented domestic and international audits, including IT audits
  • Assist in daily operations, e.g., preparing presentations and reports in German and English
  • Retrieve, compile, and analyze relevant data from ERP systems (e.g., SAP) or other data sources
  • Actively work with AI modules and applications for analyzing and solving technical questions
  • Process selected questions for conceptual development of audit and risk management methods
  • Enrolled student in economics, industrial engineering, business informatics or comparable field
  • Commitment, team spirit, strong communication skills
  • Analytical, goal-oriented, integrity, self-initiative, and responsibility
Good to have:
  • First practical experience, e.g., through internships
  • Initial knowledge of SQL and Tableau

What you will move with us:

  • Participate in group-wide risk management
  • Support the preparation and execution of risk-oriented domestic and international audits, as well as IT audits
  • Assist in daily operations, e.g., preparing presentations, scheduling appointments, and reporting in German and English
  • Retrieve, compile, and analyze relevant data from ERP systems (e.g., SAP) or other data sources
  • Actively work with AI modules and applications for analyzing and solving technical questions
  • Process selected questions for the conceptual development of audit and risk management methods and instruments

What you bring with you:

  • You are an enrolled student in economics, industrial engineering, business informatics, or a comparable field of study
  • First practical experience, e.g., through internships, as well as knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and data analysis are an advantage
  • You bring commitment, team spirit, and strong communication skills
  • Your working style is analytical, goal-oriented, and characterized by integrity, self-initiative, and a sense of responsibility
  • You are interested in modern technologies and data-driven decision processes and ideally have very good knowledge of Power BI, Power Automate, and handling AI tools (e.g., GPT)
  • Proficient in MS Office / Office 365; initial knowledge of SQL and Tableau is desirable
  • You speak fluent German (C1) and have good English skills (B1)
