Job Description

The Account Executive (AE) will execute the Regional/Nation-Wide Sales strategy, build and maintain relationships with merchants in their territory, and understand their needs to provide advice. Responsibilities include actively engaging with leads, conducting business review sessions to provide solutions to merchants for business growth, identifying and solving merchant problems, monitoring competitor and market movements, onboarding new merchants, supporting city projects, and ensuring timely submission and administration of processes. The AE will also attend training and develop skills. The Account Executive works as part of a team and collaborates with the Merchant Engagement and Sales Support teams, regularly visiting assigned merchants.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
  • 2 years relevant experience in FMCG/Telecommunication/Tech (preferred).
  • Good business sense and understanding of markets and customers.
  • Ability to bridge, develop, and maintain relationships with key partners.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fact-based/number-oriented individual and data-driven decision making.
  • Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

About the Role

Account Executive (AE) is mainly responsible to execute Regional/Nation-Wide Sales strategy within their areas and also build & maintain relationships with the network of all merchants in their territory including regular visits upon assigned leads. They should understand what the merchant needs and provide advice upon it.
What Will You Do
  • Actively relate to Leads provided through Motion Standard and Virtual Engagement.
  • Routinely conduct business review session and proactively giving solution to merchants in order to grow their business through consultative selling motion.
  • Determine the problems faced by merchants and help solve them, including those related to merchant spending, troubleshooting, document changes or adding new outlets, entities or brands.
  • Actively observe competitor movements and market movements.
  • Actively penetrate their areas by onboarding new merchants and always observing the area through canvassing days.
  • Actively support the city's focus projects (Merchant Partnership, Assortment, etc).
  • Ensure the submission and administration process (advertisements, promotions, changes to agreements, additional outlets) are on time, including complaints from merchants and also always submit to ASM and seek assistance from the right PIC.
  • Routinely attend training, socialize new products and develop skills.
  • What Will You Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • 2 years relevant experience with preferable industries: top 5 FMCG/Telecommunication/Tech company and preferably has spent significant time (>1 year) in representative area and has strong network and knowledge about the region will be a plus.
  • Good business sense and have good understanding of the markets, customers, and competitors.
  • Has existing relationship or able to bridge, develop, and maintain good relationship with key partner.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fact-based/number-oriented individual and able to interpret data to make data-driven decisions.
  • Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • About the Team

    Account Executive (AE) will work as a team within a certain district and closely collaborate with the Merchant Engagement and Sales Support teams. Ideally, an AE regularly visits assigned merchants to see what really happened on the ground as well as provide necessary advice to them in increasing transactions over time.
