Job Description

WildBrain seeks an Accounts Receivable Clerk for a fixed-term contract (ending Oct 2026). Responsibilities include managing billing and collections, handling payments, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting in Jaguar System 7 and Microsoft Dynamics. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams to align billing with client agreements and ensure timely collections. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and proactively solve problems. Data entry experience, general accounting software knowledge, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel are essential. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and/or Jaguar rights management software is preferred but not required. The role also involves data maintenance, ad-hoc request responses, monthly reconciliations, cash forecasting, and assisting with system migration.

About the Role

WildBrain is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk for a fixed-term contract (ending Oct 2026) to join our finance team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing billing and collections, including handling payments from various clients and ensuring accurate data entry and reporting. You’ll work closely with internal teams to ensure billing is aligned with client agreements and coordinate timely collections.

This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Job Description

  • Entry of cash and wire collection data into a Jaguar System 7 rights management database and Microsoft Dynamics 
  • Generate invoices based on contract milestones 
  • Periodic generation, output, and distribution of various data summaries 
  • Track and notify appropriate departments of outstanding incoming wires or payments 
  • Assist in resolution of any data conflicts identified 
  • Follow up with customers on past due accounts via email and phone 
  • Perform data maintenance and respond to ad hoc requests
  • Complete monthly interface from contract management system to Dynamics general ledger and reconcile data in the two systems 
  • Prepare month end and customer account reconciliation
  • Prepare monthly cash forecast based on outstanding receivables 
  • Maintain general filing system for all cash receipts
  • Assist with system migration to new contract management system (Westend)

Qualifications

  • Experience in a data entry environment
  • Experience with general accounting software 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and/or Jaguar rights management software preferred, but not required 
  • Strong computer skills required including solid working knowledge of spreadsheet programs (i.e. MS Excel) 
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Effective oral and written communication skills 
  • Flexible work style: able to adjust to multiple demands and a changing and fast-paced environment 
  • Takes responsibility for assigned tasks, shows initiative to suggest improvements to processes and procedures
