As an Application Engineer I: Digital Design - Synthesis & Implementation, you will collaborate with the Digital and Signoff Group. You will provide technical support to customers, enabling them to effectively utilize our industry-leading technology, focusing on logical and physical implementation products, and deploying technology using tools like Genus, Modus, Innovus, Conformal, or Tempus. You will work with customers to understand their needs, guide the best technologies and methodologies, and create innovative solutions to address their challenges. This role involves collaboration with global peers, understanding the competitive landscape, developing support articles, and working on differentiating Cadence's solutions.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Interest in learning new technologies and developing soft skills
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of Verilog, VHDL, FPGA, Digital Systems, or Microelectronics
  • Knowledge of EDA tools for logical, physical synthesis, or simulation
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as TCL, Python, Bash, or CS

Cadence Design Systems Inc. is looking for a motivated Application Engineer I: Digital Design - Synthesis & Implementation to work with us in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

As an Application Engineer I: Digital Design - Synthesis & Implementation you will work with Digital and Signoff Group, providing technical support, enabling customers to effectively deploy our industry-leading technology, focusing on logical and physical implementation products, and deploying technology using tools such as Genus, Modus, Innovus, Conformal, or Tempus.

You will be on a team working with our customers to understand their needs, guide the best technologies and methodologies to enable their success, and produce innovative solutions to address our customers most challenging problems.

Job Description:

  • Work together with global peers on diverse teams collaborating on the newest technologies.

  • Collaborate with customer engineer's teams to verify problems, create solutions tests, and deliver final resolutions.

  • Understand the competitive landscape and continuously work on differentiating Cadence's solutions.

  • Develop collateral in support articles and application notes that customers and coworkers can use to excel in their responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Complete Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related areas.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English.

  • Problem-solving skills.

  • A strong interest in continuously learning new technologies and developing their soft skills.

Nice to have:

  • Verilog, VHDL, FPGA, Digital Systems or Microelectronics knowledge .

  • EDA tools for logical, physical synthesis or simulation knowledge.

  • Scripting languages knowledge, such as TCL, Python, Bash, CS.
