We need an Associate Counsel for Transactions in the UK to join our dynamic commercial legal team. The Associate Counsel will collaborate with our rapidly expanding business team, offering practical and effective guidance in the negotiation and management of client and vendor contracts. This is an excellent opportunity for an associate eager to transition to an in-house role with a global, multinational organization. As Associate Counsel for Transactions & Product you will be responsible for assisting with company legal, regulatory and business matters for MiQ’s global business.

In this role, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: 

• Drafting, Negotiating, Reviewing and Managing MiQ’s agreements with MiQ’s advertiser clients, ad agencies, and ad technology platforms.
• Advising on legal risk related to partnership agreements, vendor agreements and commercial matters
• Support senior commercial leads in UK, Europe and global markets
• Working with internal stakeholders, building relationships and working across differences to find solutions

What you will bring:

• Experience: 5+ years of UK post qualification experience
• Qualifications: CIPP/E
• Flexible & Creative: We’re looking for someone who can adapt to an evolving environment and pitch in to help build the team’s structure as we grow.
• Resilient & Confident: You’ll need to work independently and take ownership, even in challenging situations. 
• Handle Ambiguity: If you’re someone who can thrive without a rigid structure and handle uncertainty, this is for you.
• Comfortable Working Solo: You’ll be able to manage your workload, especially during the early part of the day when the team may not be available.
• Global Teamwork: Experience collaborating with teams across different regions is important.
• Business & Financial Know-How: Understanding business and financial structures is a must. You’ll need to get into the details of transactions and translate them into legal terms.
• Ad Tech, Martech, or Tech Transactions Experience: Experience in these areas is a big plus, but tech transactions background works too.
• Great Communicator: Be able to explain complex legal and business concepts clearly to different stakeholders.
