About the role

Rippling’s payroll product is responsible for moving billions of dollars and making payments to millions of workers each week. It is an intellectually demanding product area where your mission is to abstract the sprawling complexities of payments, compliance, and enterprise SaaS into a beautifully simple, reliable experience that people intimately depend on. It is Rippling’s biggest product area, and one of Rippling’s top investment priorities. We are looking for an experienced PM to help lead a major part of it. You will ensure that 10,000+ customers have an amazing payroll experience, and build capabilities that unlock the next set of customers for Rippling. You’ll work closely with teams of engineers, designers, compliance and policy experts across the company, as well as GTM teams, to scale the business, and build features that benefit millions of employees.

What role do Product Leads play at Rippling? The product team owns Rippling’s product direction, defining what to build in order to solve customer problems in a way that allows them to succeed. We do this by intimately understanding the market, our customers, and the perspectives of our key stakeholders and synthesizing that into a product that is effective, efficient, and easy to use.

What you will do

• Distill complex regulatory and company-level requirements into simple interfaces and user experiences
• Work with a very large engineering team and operations team to automate hundreds of millions of tasks on behalf of clients
• Dig into details and “go-and-see” how customers are using the product and what their challenges are, and prioritize what Rippling should build to help them
• Understand state, and country-level requirements, and craft software and operational solutions that keep our customers and Rippling in compliance
• With engineers and designers, come up with platform-level capabilities that provide a scaled benefit and solve for multiple use cases at once
• Collaborate with other Rippling payroll, payments, and other product teams to ship major enhancements to the platform
• Work cross-functionally across product, engineering, design, marketing and customer-facing functions to plan, spec, build, and ship new capabilities

What you will need

• 8+ years of experience in product management, or founding experience
• Self-starter with a bias towards action and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Thrives in understanding complexity and transforming it into simple user experiences
• Deep technical, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Exceptional interpersonal communication & organizational skills
• Strong ability to motivate and inspire people to do their best work
• Relentlessly focused on customers’ needs
