Responsibilities include author communications, advocacy, care, event planning, community coordination, onboarding, and contract support. You'll build relationships, plan events, and foster a supportive community for Inkitt's authors. Inkitt is building the Disney of the 21st Century, using AI to discover and develop successful stories, and is seeking someone with strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills to ensure author success.
Must have:
  • 4+ years in support/advocacy role (media/publishing/entertainment)
  • Experience with creatives/writers/authors
  • Effective communication & relationship building
  • Empathy & emotional intelligence
  • Exceptional written & verbal communication
  • Proactive problem-solving skills
  • Community building & event management expertise
Inkitt is building the Disney of the 21st Century, standing at the forefront of technology and entertainment. Leveraging AI and predictive algorithms, Inkitt discovers unknown stories and turns them into blockbuster hits, producing a new $1M ebook every 4 weeks and selling directly to consumers through its Galatea app. Inkitt has become the 11th most bestseller-generating publisher in the world, boasting a 40x higher hit-rate than traditional publishers. Recently raising a Series C and backed by some of the top VC’s such as: Khosla, Kleiner Perkins, and NEA Ventures, our recent expansion into GalateaTV is only the beginning of our journey to becoming the next-gen entertainment powerhouse.

What You'll Do:

    • Author Communications: Act as the central point of contact for authors, keeping them informed about the company initiatives that affect them, while addressing their questions and concerns with clarity and professionalism.
    • Author Advocacy: Serve as the "voice of the author" within the organization, championing their needs, ideas, and feedback. Collaborate with internal departments to align business strategies with author expectations.
    • Author Care: Ensure authors feel valued, supported, and engaged throughout their collaboration with Galatea. Develop initiatives such as personalized outreach, milestone celebrations, and meet-ups to strengthen our authors’ relationship with Inkitt
    • Event Planning and Community Coordination: Plan and manage events to connect authors with each other and the broader romance writing community. Organize virtual and in-person gatherings, workshops, and conference visits that inspire creativity and collaboration and build Inkitt’s reputation among the wider author community
    • Author Onboarding and Contracts: Support the recruitment of new authors, ensuring a seamless onboarding process. Help shape author contracts to ensure they are clear, fair, and advantageous for both parties.

What You'll Bring:

    • 4+ years in a support or advocacy role, within media, publishing, or entertainment.
    • Proven experience working with creatives, writers, or authors and their needs
    • A record of effective communication and relationship-building in a professional setting.
    • Empathy: Strong emotional intelligence to build trust and maintain positive relationships with authors.
    • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for engaging with authors and internal stakeholders.
    • Problem-Solving: Ability to address challenges proactively and find solutions that benefit both authors and the company.
    • Community-Building: Experience in fostering collaborative, inclusive, and supportive communities.
    • Event Management: Proven ability to plan and execute engaging and impactful events.
At Inkitt, we strive to build a company culture and provide employment opportunities based on diversity and inclusion. We believe every author should have an equal opportunity to succeed, as should our team members. As a growing team from 20+ countries, we welcome everyone to apply.

We look forward to hearing from you!

About The Company

We believe every author should have an equal opportunity to succeed. Therefore, our mission is to discover hidden talents and turn them into globally successful authors.

Inkitt is a pioneer at the forefront of Data Driven Publishing. Using an analytic and objective approach, we’ve discovered hundreds of talented authors around the world with over 50% of our published authors achieving $100,000+ in sales. We have forever changed the traditional publishing model by inventing an algorithm which analyzes users' reading behavior to identify hits, in turn removing subjectivity from the equation. This gives Inkitt the unique ability to discover hidden talents that might otherwise have gone unnoticed.

Hits that are identified by our algorithm, are then licensed to and distributed on our Galatea app where we systematically generate blockbusters by A/B testing the content of our stories. This process is our own unique creation, and something which has never before been done in the entertainment industry.

At present, we are an international team of 85 passionate and dedicated inventors and entrepreneurs and we are growing quickly. We are proud that our mission has persuaded early investors in Google and Spotify to back us, as well as attracted talents from Netflix, Activision Blizzard, DeliveryHero, Babbel, and N26 to join us.

We invent new solutions to problems we encounter, as opposed to simply iterating upon existing solutions.

Join us to build the Disney of the 21st Century!
