The Community Manager at Raven Software supports community engagement plans, monitors online conversations, creates community-facing content, and provides internal reporting. Responsibilities include collaborating on community engagement strategy, contributing to content strategy, managing content calendars, establishing feedback processes with developers, analyzing performance data, and adapting to various projects. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in a community-oriented role, preferably in the video game industry, with strong communication, social media, and analytical skills. Experience with the Call of Duty franchise is a plus. This is a hybrid role based in Madison, WI.

Primary Objective:

Support Raven Software, and associated work/titles, to the world and represent studio culture and philosophies within the company.

Your Mission:

The Community Manager is primarily responsible for supporting the community engagement plans, including monitoring conversations online, in forums and social channels and support the creation of community-facing content and subsequent internal reporting.

The Community Manager should have a thorough understanding of video game genres and platforms, including fluency with games-as-a-service practices and production/business models. The Associate Community Manager is a creative and passionate gamer, comfortable with online communities and social media, with excellent communication skills, an understanding of data analytics and the ability to thrive in a highly dynamic environment.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, and the home studio for this role is Madison, WI.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on defining and helping to execute the community engagement strategy within Raven Software and as part of Call of Duty Studio Communications
  • Contribute to content strategy and Studio Communications, including monitoring conversation and engagement on community channels
  • Support product communications needs, as applicable such as blogs, patch notes, social copy, etc.
  • Manage content calendars/milestones, delivering content to cross-functional teams, and communicating with teams across Activision/Call of Duty franchise studios
  • Establish feedback processes with  developers, providing regular/meaningful reporting on community sentiment, concerns, and suggestions
  • Analyze and report on content and program performance data to drive continuous improvement and optimization
  • Overall ability to adapt to a spectrum of different projects assigned to you by the Communications & Community Manager

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a community-oriented role, preferably in the video game industry
  • 1+ years of experience working with the Call of Duty franchise
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to create quality documentation for various audiences
  • Strong understanding of social media  landscape, including  platform analytics, mechanics, and trends. Experience using platforms  X, Instagram, Reddit,  Threads, YouTube and more.
  • Strong organizational skills and an independent, self-motivated work style
  • Solid working knowledge and familiarity of Call of Duty catalog
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Extra Points:

  • Advanced degrees in communication, marketing, or related field
  • Video production/publishing, graphic design, and/or content creation experience
  • Project management training and experience
  • Experience working with influencers
  • Proficiency with Sprinklr, Confluence, and/or JIRA
  • Existing strong personal network within Raven’s communities

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $23.85 - $44.12 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates, new hire compensation is negotiable.
