CSPX COP Principal Scientist – Multi-Category/Multi-Market Experience
Roles and Responsibilities and Expectations:
The CSPX Principal Scientist – Multi-category/Multi-market experience is a key member of the Consumer Science & Product Experience (CSPX) Community of Practice and exists to drive consumer centricity across multiple categories and markets particularly to drive access workstream for the development of access solutions to ensure these are affordable and suitable with fit for purpose formula, formats, packaging and claims.
The CSPX Principal Scientist – Multi-category/Multi-market experience will be responsible for defining enterprise level strategic framework for access consumer-product understanding and key attributes, user journey, design to value and development of superior product solutions and product experience that are affordable and aspirational for access consumers. Key deliverable is mapping access opportunities and where appropriate identify platform approach to drive scale and speed.
The CSPX Principal Scientist – Multi-category/Multi-market experience will work closely with the Access workstream key members from CBIA, R&D Innovation and Packaging and Commercial as well as various BU/Category teams to deliver Access targets and vision. Additionally, as a key member of the CSPX COP, leverage and develop tools, capabilities and methodologies to best reach and decode access consumer insights and enable cost-effective researches for access projects.

Educational Background
Min Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, Chem, Pharmacy, Biology or Biochemistry (Preferred Master of Science)
Ability to drive scientific excellence, understand key technologies, build models and communicate effectively within R&D and Commercial stakeholders
Job Relevant Experience
Min 8 years in FMCG or Healthcare
Solid relevant industry experience in consumer research/products research (qualitative and quantitative research, consumer modelling, upstream/front end consumer need definition AND downstream/product validation and claims substantiation)
Solid relevant experience working in multi-category/multi-markets
Solid experience working in emerging/low-income markets
Expertise in developing novel methodologies
Excellent analytical skills, including strategic thinking
Leadership, communication and influencing skills, ability to lead change
Commercially savvy
Enterprise mindset and strong collaboration skills
Can work successfully in a complicated matrix organization
Needs to be able to independently conduct Consumer Science research programs and coach younger colleagues in the function
Need to drive a vision, detect need for change and implement change
Need to collaborate with and influence R&D, Marketing and CBIA colleagues
