As Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the Partners Management & Manufacturing team, monitoring Clinical Integration and Insights (CI&I) Business Unit’s contractors. You will focus on operations within the Third Party Logistics (3PL) platform to build hardware parts and systems for customers. This includes leading Design Transfer activities for CI&I hardware projects, monitoring 3PL operations daily, participating in the definition and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, providing KPIs, supporting investigations, and collaborating with various teams on Sales and Operations (S&OP) and Quarter Business Review (QBR) preparation.

Job Description

As Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in Partners Management & Manufacturing team (PM&M), which is responsible for the monitoring of Clinical Integration and Insights (CI&I) Business Unit’s contractors. You will focus on the operations made in the Third Party Logistics (3PL) platform to build the hardware parts and systems delivered to our customers.

Your role

  • In collaboration with R&D based in Paris and with the 3PL staff, lead Design Transfer activity (or New Product Industrialization (NPI)) of all CI&I hardware projects including maintenance and provide evidence of good completion.
  • Monitore 3PL’s operations on daily basis, with a strong presence on site: ensure products are build according to procedures and protocols approved by CI&I manufacturing leader, from reception of parts to shipment.
  • Participate in the definition, development, verification, installation, validation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment needed in the warehouse.
  • Provide operations Key Performance Indicators (KPI), Support Non-conformity investigations and follow up, Participate in RMA / Refurbishing management.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Supply chain teams on Sales and Operations (S&OP) and Change Control Board (CCB) preparation and meetings. As well as collaborate with Quality Assurance, Procurement and Supply chain teams on 3PL Quarter Business Review (QBR) preparation and meetings.

You're the right fit if:

  • You have a B.S. in Mechanical, Biomedical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Industrialization/Manufacturing engineering experience. Experience with Capsule/CI&I, highly preferred.
  • Have strong Project Management skills and happy to be on the field and to collaborate with contractors.
  • Possess strong communication skills, able to present ideas to different audiences. Are proactive, quick to identify problems, able to make suggestions to stakeholders.
  • Can work in compliance with industry standards (FDA 21 CFR part 820, ISO 13485)
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.  

How we work together 

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position OH is $67,500 to $108,000 per year.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.    

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.  Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.  Details about our benefits can be found here
