Director of Product Marketing

The Role: We’re seeking a passionate Director of Product Marketing to lead our team of product marketers and drive the GTM strategy for the entire Varonis Data Security Platform, including messaging and positioning, product launches, sales enablement, and competitive intel. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape and can quickly become the person who can best articulate how customers use Varonis, the value they get, why customers buy, and what makes our platform different. Top candidates will also bring proven systems and templates for common product marketing processes such as competitive intel, product launches, and positioning.
The Location: We are considering candidates who are able to work by remote model with travel requirements to Varonis HQ in New York City, tradeshows, events, and other alliance-building activities.
The Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience leading product marketing for a B2B cybersecurity software vendor.
- Expert-level understanding of the cybersecurity ecosystem.
- Expert-level verbal and written communication.
- Expert-level copywriting and content creation skills with a strong portfolio of work.
- The ability to explain complex technical challenges and solutions tersely and clearly.
- Ability to manage and prioritize numerous large initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to work with incomplete information and adapt to aggressive, moving deadlines.
- Proven ability to work effectively with both in-person and remote teams.
- This position requires up to 20% travel to Varonis customer sites and events worldwide.
- BA or BS degree in an applicable field or equivalent work experience.
The Responsibilities:
- Spend time with customers, listen, and apply your learnings to our product marketing strategy.
- Planned, implemented, and managed the overall product marketing strategy, including establishing or improving processes, defining key messages, and measuring results.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of product marketers.
- Create compelling and differentiated messaging and positioning for the Varonis platform, services, and integrations.
- Ensure a clear understanding of the target customer and the core capabilities of the offering.
- Assist with planning, pricing, packaging, and launching new offerings and add-ons.
- Provide product-oriented marketing support to demand gen and field marketing teams, helping develop digital campaigns, blog posts, event content, videos, and webinars to drive the sales pipeline.
- Develop tools and training to support the full sales cycle, including product demos, sales enablement content, architecture diagrams, and competitive battle cards.
- Be the expert on target buyers, market trends, and competitive offerings.
