Driver

The job involves loading, unloading, and safely transporting materials within or near plant, yard, or work sites using forklifts, trucks, and/or trailers. Key duties include reading work orders or following oral instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved, and loading materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand. The role requires loading materials into vehicles, securing them for transit, and conveying them to designated areas using various equipment. Responsibilities also include counting, weighing, and recording materials moved, attaching identifying tags, and stacking or assembling materials. Operation of industrial trucks or electric hoists may be required. A valid driver's license and forklift certification (or ability to obtain one) are mandatory. The position also entails picking up or delivering materials to offsite locations, vendors, or suppliers. Mentally, the role demands sufficient interpersonal skills for effective interaction, the ability to work under stress and handle multiple priorities and deadlines, and proficiency in processing job-related paperwork.
