As a Gameplay Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the User-Generated Content roadmap, creating tools that empower the community's creativity in Gym Class. You will design and build user-facing creation tools, manage resource systems, define and prioritize the UGC roadmap, and prototype new ideas. You will be working with all parts of the stack, including asset delivery systems, cosmetics and avatars, environments, networked physics, gameplay, UI, and AI. You will also be shipping features to a highly engaged community and analyzing product analytics.

**SUMMARY** Gym Class is a top rated game on the Meta Quest platform (58K ratings, 4.9 stars). Millions of players globally have downloaded GC to make friends, explore social worlds, and compete to become a star. In this role, you’ll drive our User-Generated Content roadmap, building tools to unleash our community’s creativity. Own ‘creator mode’ systems in Gym Class - enabling players to design new worlds, build minigames, customize assets, and share their creations with the broader community. You’ll touch all parts of our stack - asset delivery systems, cosmetics and avatars, environments, networked physics, gameplay, UI, AI, and more. And you’ll ship features to a highly engaged community that’s ready to create and offer feedback. Join Gym Class if you'd like to work at the frontier of social gaming, love to ship great work that has a direct impact on a product and company, enjoy fast feedback cycles from a hungry community, and want to build your career with a fast-growing startup. **WHAT YOU'LL DO** * Creation Tools: Design and build the user-facing creation and customization toolkit for Gym Class. * Resource Management Systems: Develop user-facing systems to balance resources and assets available for creation, with the performance bar set for the game. * Roadmap Development: Define and prioritize UGC roadmap. Work with cross-functional partners to gain deep understanding of our community. Prioritize tooling based on what creative use-cases/experiences they can unlock. * Impact & Feedback Loop: Prototype and experiment with new ideas, track product analytics to understand impact. **QUALIFICATIONS** * Proficiency in Unity: Experience shipping for live-service, multiplayer, Unity games (Required). * Knowledge of C#: Demonstrated proficiency in C# programming. * UGC Background: Experience building user-facing tools for creation and customization. * Optimization Skills: Good at game optimization to yield the highest performance. * Bias for Action: Capability to creatively address challenges, both directly and by collaborating across disciplines. **PAY AND BENEFITS** Salary ranges may be inclusive of several career levels and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
