Our technology powers ads and sponsorships across Apple Services. The Advertising Platform's Data Insights team is seeking a Client Insights Specialist for our App Store ads business. This role involves evaluating, sourcing, refining, and presenting powerful data-driven insights to help advertising customers maximize their investment in Apple Ads, using sophisticated analytical approaches and internal/external datasets.
Must have:
  • Highlight themes of insights which will have the most impact and pilot new insights.
  • Use sophisticated data analytics and statistical methodologies to extract impactful insights.
  • Develop the appropriate positioning and pitch framework to share key findings with various senior customer personas.
  • Measure and track the impact of client interactions and classes of insights on advertiser performance and spend.
  • Ensure that proposed datasets and insights honor Apple Adsʼ privacy principles.
  • Travel 10-30% of the time (varies by quarter).
  • 3+ years of experience as a consultant, data scientist or business analytics/intelligence professional.
  • 1+ years of work experience with data wrangling skills with Python/Pandas.
  • 1+ years of work experience with SQL for pulling and manipulating data.
  • Experience with in-person client interactions, specifically senior executives.
  • Knowledge to also work with business intelligence (BI) and data science experts.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to distill information from large data sets and results into simple concepts and actionable insights.
  • Deep knowledge of sophisticated analytical techniques and statistical methods.
  • A strong passion for BI and analytics with the ability to work closely with business teams.
  • Ability to understand business requirements, and handle sophisticated projects related to data-driven initiatives.
  • Experience being part of a team with a revenue growth directive.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study, or equivalent industry experience.

  • 2+ years of experience in the digital advertising industry
  • Experience with media mix modeling
  • Experience with Ads Measurement, Attribution and incrementality testing
  • Search engine marketing expertise
  • App-install marketing and channel partners (e.g., agencies, mobile measurement)
  • Extraordinary understanding of digital advertising landscape and critical metrics for web / mobile / apps

The Advertising Platform's Data Insights team is seeking a Client Insights Specialist for our App Store ads business! You'll join a new team that evaluates, sources, refines, and presents powerful insights to help our advertising customers get the most value out of their investment in Apple Ads. This team’s data-driven and sophisticated analytical approaches use internal and external data sets to identify key opportunities (e.g., improving advertiser understanding of marketplace dynamics; assisting in design and execution of advertiser experimentation; conducting client pilots for new insights; analyzing unique, client-specific opportunities). In this role, you will identify the right metrics and work with our external-facing sales team to articulate strong narratives to our customers. As such, this individual needs the right analytical skill, storytelling prowess, and cross-functional experience. This individual will:

  • Highlight themes of insights which will have the most impact and pilot new insights
  • Use sophisticated data analytics and statistical methodologies to extract impactful insights, piloting new metrics across a breadth of strategic clients with the goal of furthering their business goals
  • Develop the appropriate positioning and pitch framework to share key findings with various senior marketing, user acquisition, data science and C-suite customer personas, sometimes challenging preconceived notions about app advertising
  • Measure and track the impact of client interactions and classes of insights on advertiser performance and spend
  • Ensure that proposed datasets and insights honor Apple Adsʼ privacy principles
  • Travel 10-30% of the time (varies by quarter)
  • 3+ years of experience as a consultant, data scientist or business analytics/intelligence professional.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
