About the job

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.

As the Technical Program Manager (TPM) Manager for the Pixel Watch Device Software team, you will lead a team of talented TPMs responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software projects for the Pixel Watch. You will be a key leader within the Pixel Watch software organization, working closely with Engineering, Product Management, UX, and other cross-functional teams to define strategy, drive execution, and ensure the successful launch and ongoing evolution of the Pixel Watch software experience.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a high-performing TPM team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, proactive problem-solving, and effective communication. Your technical background, exceptional organizational skills, and leadership abilities will be critical in navigating complex technical challenges, managing dependencies, and delivering high-quality software on schedule.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

  • Lead a governance structure that drives effective executive decision-making. Ensure governance structure effectively exposes and mitigates dependencies.
  • Seek out and identify change management opportunities that increase program velocity and which affect multiple teams. Apply governance over change management to ensure it’s used effectively.
  • Define/manage a program portfolio solving problems that target high business impact for the organization and product area.
