Job Description

As a Research Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting with the annual program of thought-leadership surveys targeting various audiences. Your primary focus will be on the delivery and implementation of the annual survey program and overseeing the translations for these surveys. This includes liaising with internal staff, engaging in an extensive testing process, operationalizing survey distribution through email campaigns, and evaluating their success. The role requires assisting the Insights Manager with high-quality survey data, ensuring the surveys are run effectively, and contributing to real change in the international higher education landscape.

As a Research Analyst, this is what you’ll be doing:

We are looking to hire a reliable, organised and data-oriented Research Analyst to assist with 
our annual programme of thought-leadership surveys targeting a series of academic, employer and student audiences. These surveys are a vital strategic asset to the team and as such, ensuring they are run effectively will form a key part of the role. The role will sit within the newly formed Insights Team and will report into the Insights Manager, supporting them with the delivery of high-quality survey data. The primary focus of the position will be to assist with the delivery and implementation of the annual survey programme and in overseeing the translations for these surveys. Part of this will require liaising with internal staff members and engaging in an extensive testing process to ensure these translations are incorporated into the survey scripts successfully. A further objective will be to operationalise the distribution of these surveys via emailing campaigns in the Acoustic platform; liaising with team members to organise and clean contact lists, approve emailing campaigns, and evaluate their success. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in market research and survey design combined with a willingness to acquire new skill sets and strong attention to detail. 

Role responsibilities:


  • Capacity to troubleshoot all our thought leadership surveys, incorporating feedback from 
    team members while also ensuring a positive respondent experience.
  • Project manage survey translations: generating translation guides, identifying contributors within the company and implementing translations in the survey.
  • Organise email campaigns for survey distribution, ensuring these are effectively set up and evaluating campaign performance to maximise response rates.
  • Liaise with team members to respond to external queries related to the surveys and 
    escalate where necessary.
  • Any other duties that fall within the scope and purpose of the role. 

Key skills and experience:

  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to ensuring high quality data.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, backed up by a commitment to good customer service.
  • Strong team-work ethic, able to learn from other team members and incorporate constructive feedback autonomously.
  • Ability to take the initiative and to proactively suggest solutions when problem-solving.
  • Experience working with survey design and translations is preferable.
  • Experience working with email marketing campaigns is preferable.
  • Intermediate excel skills.
