This Senior Account Executive role focuses on building and managing relationships with C-level clients in Canada's public sector. The successful candidate will develop and implement long-term strategies, leveraging Google's advertising products to meet client marketing objectives. Responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, presenting solutions, conducting data-driven analyses, and achieving growth goals. The role requires a deep understanding of Google's advertising products and the ability to advise clients on effective digital strategies. The team works with major government bodies, tourism, and lottery corporations, helping them innovate using digital strategies to engage citizens and deliver essential services. The position requires strong relationship-building skills, analytical abilities, and experience in consultative sales or business development within the advertising or marketing technology sector.
Must have:
  • 8+ years of experience in advertising/consultative sales
  • Experience managing executive-level client relationships
  • Ability to develop and present data-driven strategies
  • Deep understanding of Google Advertising products
Good to have:
  • Experience with video or digital advertising
  • Experience in a complex, matrixed organization
  • Project management experience

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of industry experience in advertising, consultative sales, or business development, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience partnering with clients on advertising products or marketing technology/ad technology (e.g., pitching solutions, consulting, project management, or demonstrating products).
  • Experience managing relationships with customers or agencies and service partners at an executive level.
  • Experience with video advertising or other digital advertising in online branding or marketing.
  • Experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on projects in a cross-functional team setting, both internally and externally.

Functioning as trusted advisors, we help these organizations innovate using digital strategies to better engage their citizens and deliver essential services, supporting some of Canada's most significant public sector organizations and employers.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with C-level clients and executive partner stakeholders. Develop a comprehensive understanding of their business challenges, marketing objectives, and success metrics.
  • Structure a clear, long-term joint strategy between Google and clients, and lead a cross-functional team within Google to collaborate on projects and drive client success.
  • Plan for, and achieve, growth goals, through the presentation of Google advertising products/solutions that will help clients to meet their marketing objectives.
  • Develop forward thinking, data-driven analyses and consultative recommendations that align with customer goals, and quantify high-impact opportunities with clear recommendations to present to customers.
  • Build an in-depth knowledge of how Google Advertising products work and can be used to help meet a wide range of marketing objectives.
