Senior Accountant

Founded in 1993, Stardock is a global leader in Windows customization software and Video Game publishing and development. The company is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to perform general bookkeeping and billing activities (AP/AR); maintain financial reports and records; prepare and analyze budgets; and manage relationship with external accounting firm such as coordination of annual financial statement review and preparing tax returns.  This is a salaried, full-time position at our Plymouth, Michigan office. 

Primary Responsibilities Include: 

• Daily accurate and timely bookkeeping for multiple entities in QuickBooks for the complete accounting cycle: accounts payable transactions, customer invoice creation, preparation of journal entries and related accruals, tracking of fixed asset activity, and maintenance of intercompany activity and records. 
• Prepare and issue monthly financial statements for multiple entities. 
• Conduct monthly reconciliations for all bank accounts. 
• Effectively forecast and report cash-flow in conjunction with senior management. 
• Partner and contractor management, including invoice, payments and vendor relationships. 
• Financial reporting from QuickBooks, importing/exporting data, and advanced ability to manipulate data and report using Excel. 
• Special tasks, analysis or projects as needed.   

Education and/or Experience Desired: 

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.   
• 5+ years applicable experience in a professional environment. 
• Strong knowledge and understanding of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles.   
• Advanced QuickBooks proficiency.  
• Microsoft Excel proficiency; experience with advanced formulas (vlookup, sumifs, etc). 
• Exceptional organizational, time-management and administrative skills. 
• Ability to work independently. 
• Experience working in privately held, owner managed corporate environment preferred. 

The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $80,000 annually, depending on your qualifications, experience, and expertise. Stardock is committed to offering a competitive compensation package tailored to the right candidate.
