Zoox is seeking a strategic Senior Events Manager to lead their external events program and shape how the company engages with key audiences. This role is crucial for bridging strategic objectives and execution through creative, effective events that enhance the Zoox brand. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker capable of balancing creative vision with operational excellence. Responsibilities include driving the vision and strategy for Zoox's external events program, aligning with business and brand objectives, transforming business goals into innovative event concepts, and leading a comprehensive events portfolio. The role also involves program budget oversight, ROI accountability, building and maintaining the events roadmap, creating governance processes, and establishing metrics for event effectiveness. Collaboration with internal stakeholders, marketing, corporate communications, and brand teams is essential, as is managing external agency relationships and mentoring the events team.

Zoox is seeking a strategic Senior Events Manager to lead our external events program and shape how we engage with key audiences. This role serves as a critical bridge between our strategic objectives and their execution through creative, effective events that elevate the Zoox brand. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can balance creative vision with operational excellence.
In this role, you will...
- Drive the vision and strategy for Zoox's external events program, ensuring alignment with overall business and brand objectives
- Transform business goals into innovative event concepts that enhance brand perception and drive measurable outcomes
- Lead a comprehensive events portfolio spanning large-scale productions, targeted industry activations and smaller engagement opportunities
- Develop and oversee the program budget, with accountability for ROI across all event investments
- Build and maintain the events roadmap, balancing long-term strategic initiatives with emerging opportunities
- Create and implement governance processes for event requests, evaluations, and approvals
- Lead the continuous improvement of event processes based on data-driven insights and industry best practices
- Establish comprehensive metrics framework to evaluate event effectiveness across brand impact, audience engagement, and business outcomes
- Partner with internal stakeholders to align event strategy with business priorities and secure buy-in for major initiatives
- Collaborate with Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Brand teams to ensure consistent messaging and visual identity across all touch points
- Manage external agency relationships, balancing creative and execution capabilities
- Mentor and develop the events team, building capabilities that enhance our overall execution excellence
Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive experience in strategic events management, preferably in innovative technology
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing event strategies that connect events strategy to broader business objectives
- Strong track record of managing complex, high-visibility events with multiple stakeholders
- Experience building and optimizing event management processes and systems
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to influence across organizational levels
- Outstanding budget management capabilities with focus on maximizing impact of investments
- Proficiency with event management platforms and data analysis tools
- Maintains exceptional attention to detail while managing the broader strategic picture
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and emerging opportunities
- Knowledge of virtual and hybrid event approaches—experience with Splash preferred
