The Senior Fullstack Software Engineer will be responsible for owning large areas of the product, working cross-functionally with internal and external customers, and building features end-to-end, including front-end, back-end, system design, debugging, and testing. The role involves delivering experiments at a high velocity, working across the entire product lifecycle, influencing the engineering team's culture, and mentoring less experienced engineers. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new product features and experiences. The team focuses on building datasets to enhance cutting-edge LLM capabilities.

About our Frontier Data Team:

The Frontier Data team is a new product team that focuses on building datasets to enhance cutting edge LLM capabilities. This Senior Engineer is expected to work closely with our customers, GTM, and operations to define, build, and support model capabilities such as agentic workflows, advance reasoning, and more. We lead some of Scale's most ambitious projects and lead the industry in AI data.

Responsibilities:

Own large areas within our product
Comfortable working cross functionally, whether that be internal or external customers
Build features end-to-end: front-end, back-end, system design, debugging and testing
Deliver experiments at a high velocity and level of quality to engage our customers
Work across the entire product lifecycle from conceptualization through production
Influence the culture, values, and processes of a growing engineering team
Inspire and mentor less experienced engineers
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new product features and experiences.

Requirements:

At least 5 years of relevant experience is preferred
Track record of shipping high-quality products and features at scale
Desire to work in a very fast-paced environment
Ability to turn business and product ideas into engineering solutions
Excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently or as part of a team.
Excited to join a dynamic, hybrid team in either San Francisco or New York City
