Responsibilities include developing expertise in Ansys products on cloud and HPC environments, leading project segments, understanding customer needs, validating new features, and supporting application engineers.
Must have:
  • Develop expertise in Ansys products on cloud/HPC.

  • Learn new tasks and adapt to change.
  • Work with CAE and simulation tools in HPC.
  • BS in Engineering with 5 years experience or MS with 3 years.

  • Technical knowledge of on-premises/cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with distributed teams.

Summary / Role Purpose 

The Senior Product Specialist works closely with Application Engineers and product developers to drive product development and provide expert help in deployment of complex advanced features. In this role, the Senior Product Specialist will use advanced technical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex issues, ensure product quality, and shape direction of new product features.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop competence in one or more Ansys products running in cloud and related HPC environments, and be recognized as an expert.
  • Lead portions of projects and motivate others toward a common goal. Instill confidence in products and projects through proactive product and team engagement.
  • Work with Customers & Application Engineers to understand emerging needs, and collaborate with product teams to formalize requirements and product specifications.
  • Validate and benchmark new product features & ensure they meet specifications, particularly related to all aspects of user experience.
  • Support application engineers and customers in deploying advanced solutions.
  • Develop the trust and respect of team members.
  • Learn new tasks and adapt to change, establish priorities, and handle various tasks simultaneously, perform job under pressure or in critical situations.

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • BS in Engineering or related field with 5 years of experience, or MS in Engineering or related field with 3 years experience.
  • Working experience with CAE and simulation tools, and particularly Ansys products, executing large-scale problems in HPC environments.

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent technical knowledge and commercial experience executing simulations running in on-premises and cloud environments like Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working collaboratively in and with geographically distributed teams.
  • Passion for identifying and articulating product strengths and weaknesses to stakeholders project stakeholders.
