Job Description

Reporting to the IAA Manager, the Server Administrator I is responsible for coordinating and installing new site installations and upgrades, building servers, and installing hardware and software for gaming environments and server administration. This role requires a solid understanding of hardware, software, and network configuration, along with experience interacting with people at various levels. Key responsibilities include installing and administering Windows servers, performing MS SQL administration tasks and scripting, managing data backups and recoveries, installing network and server equipment, reviewing scheduled tasks, and following documented processes. The administrator will also provide customer service, install and upgrade AGS servers and games, perform routine system checks, and be available for off-hours work as needed. Testing products before release and sharing knowledge with employees and customers are also part of the role.
Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or 2 years experience
  • Strong MS SQL / DB Experience
  • Strong Active Directory, user management, GPOs experience
  • Strong customer support experience
  • Organized and good communication skills
Good to have:
  • MCP certification
  • Batch Scripting (DOS, Python, Perl)
  • Cisco Router experience
  • Networking experience
  • Other pertinent certifications

Job Summary
Reporting to the IAA Manager, the Server Administrator I is responsible for coordinating and installing new site installations and upgrades, building servers and installing hardware and software for gaming environments and server administration. The IAA Server Administrator I should also have a solid understanding of hardware, software, network configuration and experienced at interacting with people at a variety of levels 
 
Responsibilities 
  • Install and administer Windows 2003/2008/2016 servers
  • Perform some MS SQL administration tasks and scripting
  • Perform data/database backups and recoveries
  • Install network and server equipment in equipment racks for deployment
  • Review scheduled tasks and turnaround dates
  • Follow documented processes and procedures thoroughly for all projects
  • Provide courteous customer service, oral and written, during projects
  • Install and upgrade AGS servers, games, and any other software products as necessary
  • Perform routine system checks of performance and space requirements on servers before or during projects
  • Is available nights and weekends as needed for shifts/upgrades/implementations/new deployments as necessary for business
  • Testing products before being released, as necessary
  • Capable of sharing knowledge with employees and customers
  • Able to travel (5-10%) for new site installs
 
Skills and Requirements 
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in computer science, or 2 years work experience required
  • Windows 2003/2008 Servers
  • Strong MS SQL / DB Experience
  • Strong experience with Active Directory, user management, and GPOs
  • MCP certification beneficial
  • Strong customer support experience
  • Organized, and able to communicate well
  • Batch Scripting knowledge with DOS, Python, or Perl are beneficial
  • Cisco Router experience preferred
  • Experience with networking a plus
  • Other pertinent certifications a plus
  • Gaming License Eligibility: You must be able to pass a background check for up to prior 20 years for arrests, convictions, sealed or expunged records
