SageCor Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer 3 to serve the Maryland and Greater Washington D.C. area. The role involves developing and maintaining system management infrastructure software and services for High Performance Computing (HPC) systems in a Linux environment. This position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree and five years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree and seven years of experience, or nine years of experience as a Software Engineer in similar scope programs. Good To Have:
  • Familiarity with DCIM tools (Netbox)
  • Familiarity with Observability (Splunk)
  • Familiarity with IAM solutions (Keycloak)
  • Familiarity with Secret Management tools (HashiCorp Vault)
  • Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Must Have:
  • Master's degree in computer science or related discipline

  • Proficiency in scripting (Bash/Python)
  • Experience developing software solutions (Python, Rust)
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, PodMan, containerd)
  • Experience with automation frameworks (Ansible)
  • Experience performing troubleshooting and debugging
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Experience with Git Source Control

Serving Maryland and the Greater Washington D.C. area, SageCor Solutions (SageCor) is a growing company bringing complete engineering services and true full lifecycle System Engineering services to areas requiring (or desiring) nationally-recognized expertise in high performance computing, large data analytics and cutting edge information technologies.  

Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph required.

SWE-3 Qualifications:

Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an
accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and
contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or
university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar
scope, type, and complexity

OR

Nine (9) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and
complexity.

Position Description:

The Software Engineer shall be part of an overarching project responsible for developing and
maintaining system management infrastructure software and services for High Performance
Computing (HPC) systems in a Linux environment.

Position Required Skills:

- Experience using the Linux CLI
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash/Python) to automate tasks and processes
- Experience developing software solutions using programming languages such as Python,
and Rust in a Linux environment
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, PodMan, containerd
- Experience with automation frameworks including Ansible for orchestrating deployment
- Experience performing troubleshooting and debugging issues in an operational system
- Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI and
Jenkins
- Experience with Git Source Control System

Position Desired Skills:

- Familiar with Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools such as Netbox
- Familiar with Observability and Analytics platform solutions such as Splunk
- Familiar with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions such as Keycloak
- Familiar with Secret Management tools such as HashiCorp Vault
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
- Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies
